Dinner plays an important role, after a tiring day everyone wants to enjoy good food . And we bored with the same and repeated food . Whenver I feel to make some change in dinner menu i made this sev curry which recipe i would like to share with you all .
sev tamatar curry recipe is a famous Gujarati curry which is spicy , tangy , creamy and tasty recipe rich in the flavours. You can add little sugar in it but i skiped the sweet taste and made in the Rajasthani style .
We can get sev from any grocery store, use thick sev .
To make this curry we need just chppoed all vaggies and stir with spices and topping with sev . Add curd , which gives it a thick and creamy taxture.

INGREDIENTS โ๏ธ
- Sev 1 bowl
- Garlic 5-6 cloves
- onion 2-3
- Tomato 2 big size
- Ginger 1/4 inch
- Green chilli 3-4
- oil 2 tbsp
- Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
- asofoedita 1 tsp
- Curd 1 bowl
- salt to taste
- Turmeric powder 1 tsp
- red chilli powder 2 tbsp
- coriander powder 2 tbsp
- Garam masala 1 tsp
- corinander leaves for garnish
PROCESS โ๏ธ
STEP 1 :
First chopped all veggies .
I roughly chopped garlic, green chilli , ginger and finely chooped onion and tomato . You can also made puree of tomato.
I start with garlic โฆ
Than chopped all veggies one by one . I used chopper to finely chopped onion and tomato .
STEP 2 :
Now heat a pan or kadai and add 2 tbsp oil . When oil gets hot add cumin seeds and hing in it. Saute the garlic for seconds and add ginger and green chilli. Keep the flame low.
After some second add onion and saute it for 2-3 minutes, till onion tunred brownish .
STEP 3 :
Now add tomato and cooked for 2-3 minutes again .
Add curd and stir continue for 1 minute.
Now add all spices one by one and cook all spices .
STEP 4 :
Add 1 cup hot water , cover it and cook for 3-4 minutes.
At last add sev in it and turn off the flame . Make sure donโt add sev to early. Otherwise it become so soggy .
Garnish it with coriander leaves and enjoy it with chapati , naan or bread .
Whenever we bored with panner and other curry i cooked this and everyone eat happily .
