About this video

This video showcases Filipino Home Cooking using a traditional wood fire on a clay stove. This video features "Sinigang na Paa ng Manok" (Chicken Feet in Sour Soup). This video feature Sinigang na Paa ng Manok" in its simplest form, there is only one main ingredient: Chicken Feet and the rest are spices like onion, garlic, ginger, and powdered tamarind. Salt is used to taste. Aside from the spices mentioned, you could add black pepper and bay leaf if you want. But for me, I like it in its simplest form. Since this is a sinigang you can add radish, mustard, or snow cabbage.

Tip

It is recommended to boil the chicken feet until very tender, which takes a minimum of 30 minutes after the first boil. Add more water because the soup will be reduced by boiling the chicken feet until tender..
