Hello, friends, and greetings to the Hiveans and community! Today, I prepared black-eyed beans. with cooked durum wheat, also known as polished wheat. I always enjoy making changes to my meals, so instead of using pasta or rice, I decided to use this polished wheat called durum.
1 can of tomatoes
1 onion
2-3 tbsp tahini sauce
2 tbsp oil
1 cup durum wheat
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste.
1cup black eye beans.
1 cup dried mushrooms.
washed beans and mushrooms, and cooked them in a pressure cooker with 1/4 tsp turmeric and 1/2 tsp salt. I cooked them directly without soaking, so I waited until 4-5 blasts of pressure. and removed the cooker from the heat.
Chopped onion in a mini chopper.
In a warm pan, poured oil.
placed ginger garlic paste
Then the onion paste and fried it until it turned light brown
Added washed wheat to the fried onion.mixed it well.
Seasoned with black-curry/garam masala, chili powder, and turmeric.
Stirred all ingredients on low heat.
Added a ready-crushed tomato.
stirred well.
Meanwhile, the beans are cooked.
I squeezed 1/4 lemon into the wheat tomato mixture. mixed it well.
Here is the cooked beans and wheat tomato mixture.
The wheat wasn't fully cooked, so I mixed it with the beans in a pressure cooker.
Rinsed the pan with water and added it to the mixture.
1 more cup of water into the cooker.
It needed salt, so I added salt.
Covered the cooker and waited for two more blasts. After two blasts, I removed the cooker from the heat and let it cool down.
Meanwhile, roasted 1/4 cup almonds.
I used for topping
1/4 Chopped onion
1 tomato
2 slices of raw mango, chopped
handful of coriander.
The beans were ready to serve.
On a plate, first, beans
Tahini sauce
then, chopped tomato and chopped onion.
Mango, coriander, and roasted almonds.
And we enjoyed our dinner.
without my permission, no share, please.
Thank you.
