Last weekend I attended the finish line of the 10 km race organized by the company Novi. The finish line was at Novi's headquarters in the west of the city of Barquimeto. The start was at Novi's headquarters in the east of the city. The total distance was 10 kilometers. The start was around 10:00 in the morning. It was the time of the convocation. I only attended the west venue, I was a bit late and couldn't take pictures of the one who arrived first. I wanted to take a photo at the winners' race. I stayed to wait for the awards ceremony and I was able to take the respective photo. ---- > El fin de semana pasado asistí a la meta de la carrera de 10 km organizada por la empresa Novi. > La meta estaba en la sede de Novi, en el oeste de la ciudad de Barquimeto. La salida fue en la sede de Novi en el este de la ciudad. La distancia total fue de 10 kilómetros. > La salida fue alrededor de las 10:00 de la mañana. Era la hora de la convocatoria. Yo sólo asistí a la sede oeste, llegué un poco tarde y no pude hacer fotos al que llegó primero. Quería hacer una foto en la carrera de los ganadores. Me quede a esperar la entrega de premios y pude tomar la respectiva foto.

It was totally free and although I would have come in last or more likely I would have dropped out after running 300 meters. But I kept the flannel. The awards ceremony was at the end of all the activities that were scheduled after the race started. It was the expected moment for the first ten places, as there were very attractive prizes. ---- > Me arrepentí de no haberme apuntado a la carrera. Era totalmente gratuita y aunque habría llegado el último o más probablemente me habría retirado después de correr 300 metros. Pero me quedaba con la franela. > La entrega de premios fue al final de todas las actividades que estaban programadas después de iniciada la carrera. The first place winner, who was a young runner from Merrida State, won $800 in cash. The young man was very excited when he was handed the envelope with the money. The second place winner also received a nice prize. 500 in cash and the third place finisher $250. I thought these were very good prizes for the first three places. That will surely encourage a lot of people to be on the lookout next year to participate and try to win. Like these young people who came from another part of the country and traveled to town just to participate in this race. They were awarded up to 10th place. A $250 voucher to buy products in the supermarket in Novi. A basket of products from the brands that sponsored the event. A 32” TV and many other prizes. --- > El ganador del primer puesto, que era un joven corredor del estado de Merrida, ganó 800 dólares en metálico. El joven estaba muy emocionado cuando le entregaron el sobre con el dinero. > El segundo clasificado también recibió un buen premio. 500$ en metálico y el tercer clasificado 250$. Me parecieron muy buenos premios para los tres primeros puestos. Eso seguramente animará a mucha gente a estar atenta el año que viene para participar y tratar de ganar. Como estos jóvenes que venían de otra parte del país y viajaron a la ciudad sólo para participar en esta carrera. > Fueron premiados hasta el 10º puesto. Un vale de 250 $ para comprar productos en el supermercado de Novi. Una cesta de productos de las marcas que patrocinaron el evento. Un televisor de 32" y muchos otros premios.

Runners made their way to the booth to sample various branded products. Sausages, juices, coffee and even a cleaning products brand was giving away samples. The race was for a maximum of 1,000 people and it seems that all the places were filled. In addition to family members who attended to accompany the runners. It was a Sunday of a lot of sport and also quite hot. That day the sun came out. I got more tanned, I was dressed comfortably but the sun burned my body a lot. ---- > Los corredores se dirigieron al stand para degustar diversos productos de las marcas. Salchichas, zumos, café e incluso una marca de productos de limpieza regalaba muestras. La carrera era para un máximo de mil personas y parece que se llenaron todas las plazas. Además de familiares que asistieron para acompañar a los corredores. Fue un domingo de mucho deporte y también bastante calor. > Ese día salió el sol. A large group of people, including several runners, danced for about an hour. But that was not all. The Extreme Bike team took the stage for a free warm-up. To the sound of good music, people trained on the bikes set up for the event. An hour and a half and they wanted to stay longer, they didn't mind the strong sun. They were inspired. --- > Entre las diversas atracciones del recinto, había una fantástica bailoterapia. Un nutrido grupo de personas, entre las que había varios corredores, bailó durante cerca de una hora. > Pero eso no fue todo. El equipo Extreme Bike subió al escenario para un calentamiento gratuito. Al son de buena música, la gente se entrenó en las bicicletas preparadas para el evento. Una hora y media y querían quedarse más tiempo, no les importaba el fuerte sol. An atmosphere full of energy in a pleasant sporting event.
