Throwback Thursday! Today was just a normal day for everyone, including myself, but this time I achieved something important. I had a goal in mind, and I spent several months without reaching it. One day I realized that I was the only barrier between me and the goal. My way of thinking, my lack of discipline, and my fears. Sometimes it's not worth planning so much, or following those extensive steps I've mapped out for years to achieve my goals. That day I simply challenged myself and I did it, and from then on, everything I have in mind, I think about and put into action the first time. I might stumble, but I get back up to keep going. >¡Jueves de #TBT!. La experiencia de hoy fue un simple día normal para todos, incluso para mí mismo, pero en esta oportunidad logré algo importante para mí. Tenía una meta en mi mente, y pasé varios meses sin alcanzarla. Un día me di cuenta que yo era la única barrera entre la meta y yo. Mi forma de pensar, mi indisciplina y mis miedos. A veces no vale la pena planificar tanto, ni hacer esos extensos pasos a seguir que tracé en mi vida por años para lograr mis metas. Ese día simplemente me reté y lo logré, y a partir de ahí, todo lo que tengo en mente lo ´pienso y lo pongo en marcha a la primera. Puede que me tropiece, pero me vuelvo a levantar para continuar.

These photos are from the first time I hiked alone, and I reached an important goal on my own, through effort, without dwelling on frustration, and overcoming exhaustion... Yes, it was an ordinary day, but I achieved something significant, because at the summit you realize that all you needed was discipline and perseverance. Since achieving this goal through hiking, putting my available skills into practice, I haven't allowed fear to control me in any other area of my life. This was at the beginning of 2025, in the first month, and I believe I've now had the best year of my life, a year where so many years of reflection have finally come to fruition and been put into constant practice. >Estas fotos de la primera vez que hice senderismo solo, y que llegué a una importante meta por mi cuenta, con esfuerzo, sin pensamientos de frustración y pasando por encima por del cansancio... Sí, fue un día normal, pero logré algo importante, porque en la cima te das cuenta que lo único que necesitabas era disciplina y perseverancia. Desde que logré esta meta haciendo senderismo, poniendo en práctica mis herramientas a disposición no permití que el miedo me dominara en cualquier otro ámbito, y esto fue a inicios de este año 2025, en el primer mes, y creo que ahora he tenido el mejor año de mi vida, un año donde tantos años de reflexión salieron de mi mente y se pusieron en práctica constante.

The last month of the year is about to begin, and looking back, I realize the great achievements I've accomplished on my own. I've kept these photos ever since: my first selfie next to the Ávila cross, a place I had seen before, but with company, and I practically crawled there, motivated by my friends. At the time, I hated them 😅 but they were giving me the tools I needed to do it on my own. In fact, I remember that just before embarking on this solo adventure, one of them, tired of my excuses, told me that if I didn't achieve my own goals, I would be a weak-minded person, someone who would never master their fears and would always succumb to comfort. I don't know if he did it on purpose to challenge me, but it worked... >Está por comenzar el último mes del año, y viendo hacia atrás me doy cuenta de los grandes logros que he abrazado por mi propia cuenta. Guardé estas fotos desde entonces, mi primer selfie junto a la cruz del Ávila, un lugar que sí había visto en su momento, peor acompañado y prácticamente llegué arrastrándome y motivado por mis amigos. En su momento los odié 😅 pero ellos me estaban dando las herramientas necesarias para hacerlo por mi cuenta. De hecho recuerdo que justo antes de lanzarme a esta aventura en solitario, uno de ellos, cansado de mis excusas me dijo que si no alcanzaba mis propias metas sería una persona débil de mente, alguien que nunca dominaría sus miedos y que siempre sucumbiría a la comodidad. No sé si lo hizo a propósito para retarme a mí mismo, pero funcionó...
