Hello everyone. I'm here to share a concern that has kept me stressed and anxious this last month. # I love rainy days, I feel that it is one of the most satisfactory climatic conditions in a tropical zone, but painfully, the sector where I live is not suitable for rain, only a few drops fall and the electricity or the internet goes out. We have learned to live with this situation for many years and although we have chosen to look for other alternatives, the signal is not good during the day, so our activities on the web are reduced to a couple of hours at dawn, and a couple of hours dawning. And I say a couple of hours, because in my case I get sleepy at night when I wait until the wee hours for the good signal to arrive. # In recent weeks the situation has been stressful, since the company that provides me internet services moved its offices to another city and we make complaints online, that is, if the signal goes down, we have to use our cell phones to report it. , and we almost never achieve immediate attention. Thousands of reports and weeks without service, which in the same way must be paid because when the day of invoicing approaches, they already send us messages reminding us of the payment and attach a cut-off threat. # A very particular anecdote that I experienced was that once my internet service was cut off when there was no signal, and I realized it because the lights on the modem flicker differently. If the signal goes out, of the 5 lights only three turn on and the other two are absent... but if it is cut off, all 5 turn on and two of them remain intermittent... that is, apart from the two absent lights, the third one was intermittent. That way I was able to realize that my service had been suspended. The unusual thing is that I couldn't cancel it in time because I didn't have internet to access the page, and it didn't open on my cell phone. And in those days the El Tigre office was closed due to the pandemic.

Situations like this are what netizens from many regions of Venezuela experience daily because they do not have access to better internet service companies since they are very expensive. Our jobs are affected, our communication with the family outside the country is also affected, and even keeping ourselves informed of daily events is limited. We get used to technology as a lifestyle and being deprived of it through negligence when we are even punctual in our payments is frustrating. # The closest thing that this situation has affected within my daily routine is my content creation in Hive, the interaction with other users, the option to review the communities, read the initiatives, comment, respond, everything that daily consists of living in Hive. I have barely been able to upload content through my cell phone and the data is consumed quickly. I almost have to recharge my cell phone every day. Right now I have been without internet service for over a week, they fixed it last Wednesday and it only lasted 1 day as a downpour fell and took it away. Before that we spent almost half a month without a signal, it would come for half a day intermittently and then leave again. It's really stressful. One of my greatest desires is to be able to opt for a better quality internet service that allows me to be connected 24 hours a day without interruption, no matter how hard the rain falls. Hola a todos. Paso por aquí a compartir una inquietud que me ha mantenido estresada y ansiosa este último mes. # Me encantan los días lluviosos, siento que es uno de los estados climáticos más satisfactorios de una zona tropical, pero dolorosamente el sector donde resido no es apto para lluvias, apenas caen unas gotas y se va la energía eléctrica o el internet. Hemos aprendido a convivir con esta situación desde hace muchos años y aunque hemos optado por buscar otras alternativas, la señal no es buena durante el día por lo que nuestras actividades en la web se resumen a un par de horas en la madrugada, y un par de horas amaneciendo. Y digo un par de horas, porque en mi caso me vence el sueño en la noche cuando espero hasta altas horas a que llegue la buena señal. # En las últimas semanas ha sido estresante la situación, ya que la empresa que me brinda servicios de internet mudó las oficinas a otra ciudad y las quejas las hacemos por la web, o sea, si se cae la señal hay que usar los celulares para reportarlo, y casi nunca logramos que la atención sea inmediata. Miles de reportes y semanas sin servicio, que de igual manera hay que pagar porque cuando se acerca el día de facturar ya nos envían mensajes recordándonos el pago y le anexan una amenaza de corte. # Una anécdota muy particular que viví fue que me cortaron una vez el servicio de internet no habiendo señal, y me di cuenta porque las luces del módem titilan de manera diferente. Si se va la señal, de las 5 luces prenden sólo tres y las otras dos están ausentes… pero si está cortada, prenden las 5 y dos de ellas quedan intermitentes… o sea que aparte de las dos luces ausentes, la tercera estaba intermitente. De esa manera pude darme cuenta que me habían suspendido el servicio. Lo insólito es que no lo pude cancelar a tiempo porque no tenía internet para ingresar a la página, y en el celular no me abría. Y en esos días la oficina de El Tigre estaba cerrada por la pandemia.

Situaciones así son las que vivimos a diario los cibernautas de muchas regiones de Venezuela por no tener acceso a mejores empresas de servicios de internet ya que éstas son muy costosas. Nuestros trabajos se ven afectados, nuestra comunicación con la familia fuera del país también, e incluso, mantenernos informados del acontecer diario se ve limitado. Nos acostumbramos a la tecnología como estilo de vida y que nos priven de ella por negligencia cuando incluso somos puntuales en nuestros pagos, es frustrante. # Lo más cercano que esta situación ha afectado dentro de mi rutina diaria es mi creación de contenido en Hive, la interacción con los demás usuarios, la opción a revisar las comunidades, leer las iniciativas, comentar, responder, todo lo que diariamente consiste convivir en Hive. Apenas he podido subir contenido a través del celular y los datos se me consumen rápidamente. Casi debo recargar mi celular a diario. En este momento llevo más de una semana sin servicio de internet, lo repararon el miércoles pasado y sólo duró 1 día ya que cayó un aguacero y se lo llevó. Antes de eso pasamos casi medio mes sin señal, llegaba por medio día en forma intermitente y se iba de nuevo. Es realmente estresante. Uno de mis mayores anhelos es poder optar a un servicio de internet de mejor calidad que me permita estar conectada las 24 horas sin interrupción, por más fuerte que sea la lluvia que caiga. Con los apagones no puedo lidiar, pero que al menos cuando éstos no sean la incomodidad, yo mantenga mi señal de internet activa. # ***Gracias por visitar mi blog, sé que muchos lectores se identifican con mi caso, y tal vez me den mejores ideas para seguir siempre activa en la plataforma como debe ser. ¡¡Feliz fin de semana!!***
