Because, with the passage of time, I became a strange man, who, wanting to find himself, ended up forgetting who he was and started from scratch. Gone are the days with schedules, the hours spent in a car, behind a desk, or even on a plane to go from one side of the country to the other and back again in the same afternoon. Also, that man who wanders the streets and finds stories, fables, and tales in the small things he finds and observes; he left behind possessions, family pride, the feeling of having accomplished things, and, above all, the absurd need to leave some kind of "legacy." Because with self-forgetfulness, all those things die or lose relevance. And the body, the mind, the name, the identity, and all memories become a kind of sailboat once propelled by strong winds; But now it is drifting calmly, with the barely perceptible movement of waves on an almost still sea, letting itself be carried by the necessary inertia so that those around it do not notice its exquisite shipwreck, and want to rescue it and thus threaten the infinite peace that the dissolution of the temporal signifies... >**H**ago fotos en estas calles las cuales me vieron nacer y también están viéndome morir; por la sencilla razón de que muchas de estas fotos catalizan y exponen mi ser interior. Y es que yo, con el paso del tiempo, me volví un tipo extraño, quien queriendo encontrarse a sí mismo, terminó por olvidar quien era y comenzó de cero. Y atrás quedaron los días con horarios, las horas metido en un auto, detrás de un escritorio o incluso montado en un avión par ir de una orilla del país a otra y volver en la misma tarde. También, ese tipo que deambula en las calles y encuentra historias, fábulas y cuentos en las pequeñas cosas que encuentra y mira; dejó atrás las pertenencias, los orgullos familiares, la sensación de haber logrado cosas y, por encima de todo, la necesidad absurda de dejar algún "legado". Y es que, con el olvido de uno mismo, todas escas cosas mueren. Como hoy, que he querido ventilar estas certezas mías, las cuales con frecuencia escondo. No por el placer de esconder, ni por remilgos o vergüenzas que queden allí. Sino porque siempre es chocante, y lo sé por mis memorias, encontrarse un tipo por ahí diciendo "he amado por fin ya no ser nadie". Pero, cuando menos en esta ocasión, espero que eso no suceda. Sino que esta confesión incauta, simplemente sea vista como otra de mis fábulas, uno de esos cuentos pequeñitos míos que adorno con fotografías... ¿O será acaso que se trata de eso mismo?
