Hoy vengo a participar en la iniciativa [“Hablemos de arepas…”](https://peakd.com/hive-117341/@mundohispano/iniciativa-hablemos-de-arepas-es-en) propuesta por la comunidad, la cual no podía dejar pasar, siendo el desayuno predilecto de casi todos los venezolanos y, me atrevería a decir que, el más completo, claro, dependiendo del relleno, y al perder en el mundial de los desayunos, me siento más indignada, ¿Cómo un pan con chicharrón es mucho mejor desayuno? Lo increíble de este alimento, es el debate que ha surgido durante los últimos años sobre si la arepa es de Venezuela o de Colombia, y realmente si uno revisa su historia, este alimento viene desde la Gran Colombia, por ende, es originaria de ambos países solo que, pienso que se siente más venezolana, porque pasa a ser un plato principal y su estilo es diferente, para los colombianos es un complemento y no se rellena, se hace finita, pero no me adentro más a esto, es solo un pensamiento mío.

En fin, creo que, desde que tengo uso de razón, siento que la arepa nunca ha faltado ni en mi familia ni en ninguna parte, quizás no es consumida todos los santos días, pero si gran parte de los días de la semana, ya que es como más rápida de preparar y que se puede acompañar de muchos otros alimentos, que si huevo, queso rallado, con mantequilla, dalvito, aguacate y miles y miles de ingredientes, que las posibilidades se vuelven infinitas. Desde la reina pepiada hasta la rellena con puro quesos, la sencilla, todas son de mi gusto, creo que depende de mucho de la suavidad de la masa y del que relleno también sea bueno, no creo que haya una arepa mala como tal, ya es dependiendo de lo que se quiera y por supuesto, el cómo lo preparen.

En lo personal, no seleccionaría como relleno camarones, porque no me gusta y si veo la arepa toda dura y cuarteada, tampoco me la comería; digo dura como una piedra, porque está la parte tostadita de la concha que me encanta como queda. Hubo una vez que, estábamos de viaje por carretera, tocaba comprar algo para cenar, llegamos a una gasolinera, no recuerdo bien, pero estaban era vendiendo arepas y empanadas, yo no quería porque ya lo sentía como repetitivo, sin embargo, al probar la de mi mamá con queso, me encantó, estaba suavecita y el queso en su punto, así que de ahí aprendí a observar mejor que arepas se ven buenas 😂.

Las que no me gustan por nada del mundo son las de con harina amarilla, ains no me gusta el sabor, no sé porque no le encuentro gustito y de las blancas, solo de muy pocas marcas, que si la de Mary, Juana, P.A.N, la doña Emilia y otras dos más, que no recuerdo el nombre. Hubo una de la bolsa clap que no la pudimos comer, wey sabia horrible, ni con sal ni buen relleno podíamos comerla bien, nos quedaba cuarteada y durísima y eso que seguíamos indicaciones y nada; en definitiva, una buena harina también hace la diferencia.

En conclusión, la arepa en definitiva seguirá siendo el mejor desayuno, tiene carbohidratos y fibra (la masa) y se puede complementar con otros alimentos nutritivos que si el aguacate (grasas naturales), huevo (que sería la proteína) y un sinfín de combinaciones que son muy esenciales para comenzar el día. Dígame con atún 🤤, realmente no tengo una favorita, porque como a mi gusto y lo que tengo el momento 😂

The incredible thing about this food is the debate that has arisen in recent years about whether the arepa is from Venezuela or Colombia. From the Reina Pepiada to the one filled with only cheeses, the simple one, they're all to my liking. I think it depends a lot on the softness of the dough and whether the filling is good, too. I don't think there's a bad arepa as such; it depends on what you want and, of course, how you prepare it.

There was one time, we were on a road trip, and we had to buy something for dinner. We arrived at a gas station. I don't remember exactly, but they were selling arepas and empanadas. I didn't want to because it felt repetitive. However, when I tried my mom's with cheese, I loved it. It was soft and the cheese was just right, so from there I learned to better observe which arepas look good 😂.

The ones I don't like at all are the ones with yellow flour. Oh, I don't like the flavor, I don't know why I can't find any taste in them. And of the white ones, there are only a few brands, except for Mary's, Juana's, P.A.N., Doña Emilia's, and two others, whose names I don't remember. There was one from the Clap bag that we couldn't eat. Man, it tasted horrible. Even with salt and a good filling, we couldn't eat it properly. It was cracked and very hard, and we followed the instructions and nothing; In short, good flour also makes a difference.
