Поздравляю всех с Новым годом!	Happy New Year to everyone!
Я живу в России, где основная религия – Православное христианство. И, хотя светское государство перешло на юлианский календарь, церковь осталась верна традиции григорианского календаря. Поэтому Рождество у нас отмечается 7 января. В этом году ещё предстоит.	I live in Russia, where the main religion is Orthodox Christianity. And although the secular state switched to the Julian calendar, the church remained faithful to the tradition of the Gregorian calendar. Therefore, we celebrate Christmas on January 7. This year is yet to come.
Я покажу фотографии, сделанные в начале января 2023 года. Мы с друзьями были в короткой поездке в Иваново и область. Конечно, в программу входило посещение многих старинных церквей, являющихся историческими и архитектурными памятниками.	I will show photos taken in early January 2023. My friends and I were on a short trip to Ivanovo and the region. Of course, the program included visiting many ancient churches that are historical and architectural monuments.
Во всех православных церквях готовились к Рождеству, украшая храмы к празднику.	All Orthodox churches were preparing for Christmas, decorating the temples for the holiday.

Эти фотографии я сделала в Палехе, в великолепной Крестовоздвиженской церкви. И. хотя я придерживаюсь атеистических взглядов, я прониклась духом Рождества.

I took these photos in Palekh, in the magnificent Church of the Exaltation of the Cross. And although I adhere to atheistic views, I was imbued with the spirit of Christmas.

Прихожане спокойно занимались украшением храма. Царило очень светлое праздничное настроение.

The parishioners were calmly decorating the temple. A very bright festive mood reigned.

Я не только любовалась потрясающими росписями, выполненные палехскими мастерами, но и немножко понаблюдала за тем, как украшают церковь к Рождеству.

I not only admired the stunning paintings made by Palekh masters, but also watched a little how the church was decorated for Christmas.

В этой же поездке мы заезжали на фабрику ёлочных игрушек. В вестибюле в качестве украшения стоял огромный шар с рисунком современного ангела над городом.

On the same trip, we stopped by a Christmas tree toy factory. In the lobby, as a decoration, there was a huge ball with a picture of a modern angel over the city.

В один из вечеров мы с подругой отправились на железнодорожный вокзал в Иваново. Мы хотели просто посмотреть на этот памятник конструктивизма. Но бонусом в красивых залах вокзала проходила выставка «Русское рождество».	One evening, my friend and I went to the railway station in Ivanovo. We just wanted to look at this monument of constructivism. But as a bonus, the beautiful halls of the station hosted an exhibition called "Russian Christmas".
Там было много витрин и инсталляций, рассказывающих о традициях празднования Рождества в России. Я покажу лишь парочку фотографий.	There were many display cases and installations telling about the traditions of celebrating Christmas in Russia. I will show you just a couple of photos.
Было оформлено несколько симпатичных фотозон.	There were several nice photo zones.

Мне лично очень нравятся старинные ватные игрушки, которые придумали делать ещё в 19 веке.

I personally really like old cotton toys, which were invented to be made back in the 19th century.
