The teacher after making me a bun and cutting, gave her the directions for her to match and shape, and luckily it came out pretty well after the evaluation. The best part was her happy face for letting her practice on my hair, and I in appreciation for literally taking a load off my mind, gave her a small tip, which made her a little more excited.

I was impressed when I grabbed the lock of hair, as it doesn't weigh at all, but obviously the weight I felt was a product of gravity leaving it loose, but because of the nature of my job I had to keep it tied up most of the day and that was also uncomfortable for me. That day I slept more relaxed, without having to braid it before going to bed, to avoid stepping on it with my body when I moved in my sleep. Now it only remains to find a place that will receive it as a donation, making sure that they really use it for that purpose.

Además, en el proceso descubrí que mi cabello antes lacio, acá en Argentina se ha vuelto ondulado, tomando lindas formas que honestamente creo que extrañaré un poco. Pero sopesando pros y contras, ganaron estos últimos, así que en un arrebato salí con la firme decisión de hacerme un corte radical. Al llegar a la peluquería, la dueña me preguntó qué prefería, si profesional o académico, siendo la diferencia entre uno y otro prácticamente la mitad del costo, así que al tratarse de solo cortar el exceso de cabello,decidí darle la oportunidad a la aprendiz, quien al ver semejante volumen de cabello, se puso algo nerviosa.

Luego de explicarle lo que deseaba, solo atinaba a preguntar si realmente deseaba cortarlo tanto pues a pesar de estar tan largo, no tenía horquillas ni estaba quemado en las puntas. Tuve que buscar en mi galería, una foto mía con el cabello mucho más corto para que viera que no le temo a los cortes radicales.

La profesora luego de hacerme un moño y cortar, le dio las indicaciones para que ella emparejara y diera forma, y por suerte salió bastante bien luego de la evaluación. Lo mejor fue su cara de alegría por dejarla practicar con mi cabello, y yo en agradecimiento por quitarme literalmente un peso de encima, le di una pequeña propina, lo cual la emocionó un poco más.

Me impresioné cuando agarré el mechón de cabello, ya que no pesa en lo absoluto, pero obviamente el peso que yo sentía era producto de la gravedad al dejarlo suelto, pero por la naturaleza de mi trabajo debía mantenerlo atado casi todo el día y eso también me resultaba incómodo. Ese día dormí más relajada, sin tener que trenzarlo antes de acostarme, para evitar pisármelo con mi cuerpo al moverme dormida. Ahora solo queda encontrar un lugar que lo reciba como donación, asegurándome que realmente lo utilicen con esa finalidad.
