Although on Sundays I have to work in the mornings, and the truth is that I don't feel like being on the street after getting home, this time I decided to go for a walk after lunch and I told my son Fabrizzio that we should go for a walk. My friend @numa26, had told me about an artisan fair that takes place on weekends in the area of San Telmo, in Buenos Aires, and even if it was just to see, I dared to go there, because it is an hour and a half from my house, but as I didn't know that part of the city either, it was an adventure since we got off the subway.

With the help of googleMap, I finished locating myself once outside the San Juan station of the Buenos Aires subway, and saving the distances, I felt as if I was traveling for a moment, the center of Caracas, with its colonial houses mixed with modern buildings.

Arriving at the famous San Telmo Market area, we began to see the stalls located in the streets, closed to traffic, so that the artisans could occupy those spaces, filling them with the magic product of their imagination and their hands.

We arrived a little late, and some of them were already picking up their merchandise to go back home, however, we were able to see the variety of things they offer. There was a little bit of everything: jewelry, stationery, clothing, bags, and even puppets and handmade toys.

This fair, called Humberto Primo, was founded in 2004 to provide a space for the thousands of artisans who work independently, but who on weekends are part of this open-air commercial center. La amiga @numa26, me había comentado sobre una feria de artesano que hacen los fines de semana en la zona de San Telmo, en Buenos Aires, y aunque fuera solo para ver, me animé a llegarme hasta allá, pues queda a hora y media de mi casa, pero como tampoco conocía esa parte de la ciudad, fue una aventura desde que bajamos del subte.

Con la ayuda de googleMap, me terminé de ubicar una vez fuera de la estación San Juan del subte bonaerense, y salvando las distancias, me sentí como si recorriera por un momento, el centro de Caracas, con sus casas coloniales mezcladas con edificios modernos.

Al llegar a la zona del famoso Mercado de San Telmo, empezamos a ver los puestos ubicados en las calles, cerradas al tránsito, para que los artesanos ocuparan esos espacios, llenándolos de la magia producto de su imaginación y sus manos.

Llegamos un tanto tarde, y algunos ya estaban recogiendo su mercadería para volver a casa, sin embargo, logramos ver la variedad de cosas que ofrecen. Había un poco de todo: orfebrería, papelería, ropa, bolsos, y hasta títeres y juguetes artesanales.

Esta feria, llamada Humberto Primo, fue fundada en 2004, para darle un espacio a los miles de artesanos que trabajan de manera independiente, pero que los fines de semana forman parte de ese centro comercial al aire libre. Fue lindo verlos compartir entre ellos, conversar y sentirse seguros en un espacio que saben que, aunque sea por algunas horas, les pertenece.

También habían algunos cantantes en las esquinas, deleitando con trovas, tango, un poco de rock, y algunos covers. Cada uno con la debida distancia para no entorpecer el performance del otro, aunque también se presentaba la dicotomía sobre en cual quedarse, pues en mi caso quería escucharlos a todos.
