What's up Hivers! If you're in Chiang Mai, and you're feeling like some Indian food with spices and colors, I got a spot for you, Accha Authentic Indian Cuisine. This place is the bomb.

This little Indian oasis located in a neighborhood of Nimman comes highly recommended by our buddies and, bonus, it's just around the corner of our very own biz, The Spot cannabis dispensary (and we all know how good Indian food can taste after a visit to The Spot 😉 #lol).

Now, down to the food fiesta. Let's dive into the good stuff!

First off, the Yellow Rice. I mean, it's practically a rule. This dish is just a bed of long grain rice gently kissed with herbs. I never not order this when I visit any Indian places these days.

To balance the well-known richness of Indian cuisine, we opted for the Mixed Raita,

Raita is a cool, creamy, yogurt-based side dish, often mingling with diced veggies or fruits, providing the ultimate palette cleanser after an oil-rich bite.

Accha's raita? Real good.

Next up, we decided to play with fire and ordered the Vindaloo, lured in by the ominous chili emoji on the menu. Was it molten lava? Maybe not, but the spice heat combined with a thick, herby curry was quite the taste. Could it be spicier? Sure, but only if you're part dragon.

But wait for it, my true love for this meal wasn't on the menu, but it was on the house #lol. That's right, the complimentary chutney selection! Not every Indian joint in town does this, but Accha, they do it and they do it well. They brought us six (yes, six!) kinds of chutney, each with its own distinct flavor and a handy-dandy guide on how to savor them. We got green, mango, tamarind, mango pickle, schezwan, and my personal fave, the red onion chutney. This array of zesty, sweet, spicy, and tangy chutneys was just a flavor explosion, the perfect palette cleansers, and I'm all about it!

Accha has easily claimed its spot as my go-to Indian food place in town.
