It’s a beautiful, quiet, peaceful beach in my province that somehow still feels like a secret even though everyone already knows about it. 😊
This place is like that childhood friend you always go back to,, reliable, familiar,,
Fancy new resorts pop up everywhere, with infinity pools and menus you can't pronounce, but guess what? Come summer or Holy Week, locals and tourists still find their way here..
Like a moth to a beachy flame.
THE COTTAGES 🌴
The cottages here are not your average beach huts. These are real nipa huts,, solid, old-school, and designed for one thing only: chilling 😎
Imagine this, you’re sitting on a wooden bench under a roof made of dried grass. The sun is playing peek-a-boo through the trees. You’re eating chips, maybe grilled fish, and drinking soda that’s sweating more than you are 😆 It’s hot, but the breeze makes you forget about it. Then you suddenly hear someone say, “Mas better pa ni kaysa Boracay” (This is better than Boracay) You look up, squinting like an old man, and think, “...they might be right”
THE WATER IS WHISPERING 🌊
The beach here is like a warm hug. Clear water, white sand, and the kind of shallow stretch that makes you feel like you can walk to the next island—until your knees start arguing.
You see kids with floaties, moms in wide-brimmed hats, titos pretending they know how to snorkel, and that one person who brought a speaker playing "Summer by Calvin Harris" on repeat. The water is calm, almost like it’s shy. It doesn’t crash, it just... arrives. Quietly. Gently. Like a soft hello.
THE CHAIRS THAT GRAB YOU (LITERALLY) 👐
At one spot near the entrance, you’ll find these funky cement chairs shaped like hands. Yes. Literal stone hands.
Sitting on one feels like being held by a giant. A giant who forgot lotion 😆, because those hands are rough.
But it’s cool and shady, and honestly, you kind of feel like royalty... Or a cartoon villain... Either works 😁
SAND FOR DAYS 🏖
Walking along the shore, your feet sink slightly with every step. Not too hot, not too cold. Just the right kind of “ouch” when you step on a random shell 😁 You watch the waves kiss the shore, again and again, like they’re practicing for something important.
And when the sun hits the water just right, it’s blinding in the best way. Like nature showing off.

People always compare Alobijod to Boracay. Some say it’s better. Boracay has the parties, the crowd, the noise. Alobijod? It has peace, space, and a kind of charm that doesn’t try too hard. It’s smaller, sure. But better? Depends on what you're looking for.
If you want loud, glowing wristbands and overpriced smoothies, go Boracay.
If you want to nap under a tree and still hear yourself think, come to Alobijod.
