PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 17 Jan 2026

Greetings everyone, it's the weekend and I hope you had spent some good time with your loved ones. The latest brawl that my guild PIZZA 2 participated in had ended about a few hours ago and it is time again to look at how our guild did for this brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the brawl matches went for me and the thoughts and decisions made behind how I setup each lineup against all the opponents that I am facing in the brawl and how I adjusted each lineup to we get the most out of each ruleset.

Right now my focus and fray to be competing in will be the ones with Conclave Arcana and Rebellion which is either fray 4 or 5. I started gathering more Conclave Arcana and Rebellion cards so as to strengthen my modern ranked battle games and at the same time, will allow me more versatility to handle each ruleset and hopefully these cards can help me a little in the brawls. To consistently remind myself, I cannot be just using the same old cards at the same level without growth as other players will grow and become stronger. So let's get right on with the brawl report.

Brawl 1

	Remarks
Selection:	Collateral Damage and Lost Legendaries. When I saw this, I just thought why not go for a single card and there will be no collateral damage. So I picked a single Marisol which is just nice for the mama available.
Outcome:	Lose. Opponent won with that 1 card advantage because opponent used a lower mana cost archon and able to fit in another card. Oh well.

Brawl 2

	Remarks
Selection:	Deflection Field, Lost Legendaries and Wands Out. For this to work, we need to have a decent amount of magic cards for a splinter and I do have them for life splinter. So I just pick whatever magic attacker I can field and hope for the best.
Outcome:	Win! Collection advantage is key. I had 6 readily avalaible, opponent only had 3. Coofortable win.

Brawl 3

	Remarks
Selection:	Heavy Hitters, Four's a crowd and thorns. Thorns means we need to prepare magic attackers and because earth splinter is there too, there will be Quora nonetheless. Following Quora are just 3 hit hitters.
Outcome:	Win! The -1 magic attack debuff from the archon was key here and that allowed Quora to just grow and trample on opponent's lineup.

Brawl 4

	Remarks
Selection:	Little League, Fog of War and Earthquake. Key selection will be to functioning for the match. So in this match, no Quora but I used Jini Guise and gave the lineup 2 armour upon match start. The rest there to hope to do some damage before falling.
Outcome:	Win! It is a great surprise, because I thought I made a mess of the situation and lineup. But surprisingly, what I planned was enough to let me claim the victory because it really gave one more layer before falling.

Brawl 5

	Remarks
Selection:	Heavy Metal, Collatoral message and heavy hitter. This match has low mana, so selection likely will be on one tank and support to support. I had Commander Slade in this with Isgald Vorst supporting.
Outcome:	Win! Close match, with just 1 card different where Slade come up top. I like how it runs out with me claiming the victory.

Guild Final Tally

This brawl I am assigned 5 matches and I managed to win 3 out of 4 of them but fell to an opponent with one additional card. There were no fleeing opponent but because of the lack of filled fray, I got 3 free wins.

Unfortunately no more clean sweep but not too bad in terms of win rate.

For this brawl, we are placed at 7th position. Not as good as previous but I guess we have good days and bad days. Our frays are not exactly fully fielded but we do hope that members can join and help us gain higher position and higher SPS rewards. Go PIZZA 2!

Closing
Fewer people participate within the guild for multiple brawls counting and it is taking a toll on our SPS earned and ranking. I do hope our fellow friends can return and join the brawl since we do have the capability, but we need the masses.
