🇺🇸 ~ Happy Needlework Monday! I hope everyone in the community is doing well and enjoying many pleasant days of creative sewing.

Today I want to share a quiet afternoon of sewing in which I made a 2-piece set (hair accessories) with some very pretty fabric left over from

I recorded the process and turned it into a relaxed tutorial that I hope you enjoy 💗

Hoy quiero compartir una tarde de costura tranquila en la que elaboré un set de 2 piezas (accesorios para el cabello) con una tela muy linda que sobró de
registre el proceso y lo convertí en un tutorial relajado que esperando que disfruten 💗

🇪🇸 ~ Los materiales que necesitas para este proyecto son: Tela color rosa, hilo color rosa, bolígrafo, tijera, cinta métrica, alfileres o pinzas de costura, pistola de silicón, maquina de coser, elástico de 1cm de ancho y regla escolar.	🇺🇸 ~ The materials you need for this project are: Pink fabric, pink thread, pen, scissors, measuring tape, pins or sewing clips, hot glue gun, sewing machine, 1 cm wide elastic, and a ruler.

_{✦ This fabric is somewhat fluffy, so you don't need interfacing to get a good result ✦}

☑️ For this project, you will need to cut out fabric rectangles with the following measurements: 1 piece measuring 18 x 22 cm, 1 piece measuring 18 x 24 cm, 1 piece measuring 18 x 26 cm, 1 piece measuring 9 x 26 cm, and 2 pieces measuring 52 x 19 cm.

☑️ The first 4 pieces are for making the maxi-bow, and the last 2 pieces are for joining them together to create a maxi-scrunchie.

☑️ Let's start with the Maxi-Bow! Fold the 3 rectangles in half along their longest side and overlap them exactly in the middle. Before sewing them on the sewing machine, gather everything by hand and check that the measurements form a subtle staircase.

☑️ Para este proyecto necesitaras recortar previamente rectangulos de tela con las siguientes medidas: 1 pieza de 18 x 22 cm, 1 pieza de 18 x 24 cm, 1 pieza de 18 x 26 cm, 1 pieza de 9 x 26 cm, y 2 piezas de 52 x 19 cm.

☑️ Las primeras 4 piezas son para elaborar el maxi-lazo, y las ultimas 2 piezas son para unirlas y crear un maxi-scrunchie.

☑️ ¡Comencemos por el Maxi-Lazo!, dobla por la mitad los 3 rectángulos en su lado mas largo y superponlos uno sobre otro exactamente a la mitad de su medida, y antes de llevar a la maquina de coser frunce todo con la mano y comprueba que las medidas hacen una escalera sutil.

☑️ Next, sew each rectangle along its longest side using a sewing machine with a size 4 stitch, leaving a space about 4 cm wide in the center.

☑️ Then fold it in half, as shown in the photos, secure it with sewing clips or pins, and sew a straight line at both ends of the rectangles.

☑️ Turn all the pieces over, overlap them, and join them together with the sewing machine, sewing a straight line across the center.

☑️ Gather the 3 pieces so that they look nice, and sew a few safety stitches.

☑️ Using the hot glue gun, glue the French clip to the back of the bow and cover it with the 9 x 26 cm piece of fabric (previously make a small tube with it).

☑️ An extra tip is that it is easier to install the French clip if you take it apart.

☑️ A continuación cose con la maquina de coser con una puntada numero 4, cada rectángulo en su lado mas largo dejando un espacio en su centro de unos 4 cm de ancho.

☑️ Luego dobla por la mitad, como se aprecia en las fotografías, sujeta con las pinzas de costura o alfileres, y cose una línea recta en ambos extremos de cara rectángulos.

☑️ Voltea todas las piezas, superponlas y únelas con ayuda de la maquina de coser haciendo una línea recta en todo su centro.

☑️ Frunce las 3 piezas de manera que se vea bonito, has algunas puntadas de seguridad.

☑️ Con ayuda de la pistola de silicón pega la pinza francesa en la parte posterior del lazo, y cúbrelo con la pieza de tela de 9 x 26 cm (previamente elabora un pequeño tubo con ella).

☑️ Un consejos extra es que es mas fácil instalar la pinza francesa si la desarmas.

☑️ To make the maxi scrunchie, join the 52 x 19 cm pieces at one end.

☑️ Fold in half and secure with sewing clips, then sew along the entire length with a straight stitch (number 3).

☑️ Make sure the ends that are not yet sewn are joined “outer side to outer side” and sew a straight line. When you release it, you will get this small “mouth,” through which we will insert a 10 cm long piece of elastic.

☑️ Join both ends of the elastic piece and sew them on the sewing machine.

☑️ Close the opening in the body of the maxi-scrunchie with the sewing machine or a few invisible stitches by hand.

☑️ Para elaborar el maxi-scrunchie vamos a unir las piezas de 52 x 19 cm en 1 de sus extremos.

☑️ Dobla por la mitad y sujeta con las pinzas de costura, cose todo el largo con una puntada recta número 3.

☑️ Has que los extremos que aun no cosemos se unan "cara exterior y cara exterior" y cose una línea recta, al soltarlo obtendrás esta pequeña "boca", por la que introduciremos una pieza de elástico de 10 cm de largo.

☑️ Junta ambos extremos de la pieza de elástico y cóselos en la maquina de coser.

☑️ Cierra la abertura del cuerpo del maxi-scrunchie con la maquina de coser o algunas puntadas invisibles a mano.
