A lovely greetings to my beloved friends I made potato porridge with utazi leaf.

You know potato is sweet and it is sold by hausa people and eaten by almost all Nigerian even white people eat it and also use it as recipe and I love it so much.

Cooking it with utazi leaf will not affect any one that has diabetes, utazi leaf helps to reduce sugar in food.

Utazi leaf, scientifically known as Gongronema latifolium, is a popular tropical plant native to West Africa, particularly Nigeria. It is known for its slightly bitter taste and is often used in traditional medicine and cooking. In Nigerian cuisine, utazi is used to add a unique flavor to soups, stews, and other dishes

Health Benefits of Utazi Leaf
Digestive Aid: Utazi leaves are commonly used to help improve digestion. Their bitter properties stimulate the release of digestive enzymes, which can help relieve issues like indigestion and bloating.

Blood Sugar Regulation: Some studies suggest that utazi leaves may help in regulating blood sugar levels. They are sometimes recommended as a supportive treatment for people managing diabetes.

Anti-Inflammatory and Antioxidant Properties: Utazi contains compounds that act as antioxidants and help reduce inflammation. These properties may help in reducing the risk of chronic diseases associated with oxidative stress.

Weight Management: Due to its ability to enhance digestion and metabolism, utazi is sometimes used in weight management. It may help reduce cravings and promote a feeling of fullness.

Liver Health: Traditional medicine practices sometimes use utazi as a remedy for liver health, as it may support detoxification and protect liver cells from damage.

Immune System Support: Utazi is rich in essential nutrients, which can support the immune system and help the body fight off infections.

Utazi can be consumed fresh, in teas, or added to meals, but its strong taste means it’s often used in small amounts.
