Pajamas Night [Eng/Esp]

The time best spent is the time I spend with my children, and accompanying them in their adventures and inventions has given me magical moments like the sleepover on Sunday!

Happy #motherhood pspitos day, hope you are feeling super well! We are already in the middle of the week... don't you think it's going really fast? Today I want to share with you a super fun experience with my kids and my little Miranda is always inventing things like restaurants, tea evenings, birthdays of her dolls and much more!

This time she wanted to schedule a sleepover full of games last Sunday night, and even though Monday was a school day I agreed! They are growing up so fast that I want to take advantage of the fact that they still want to do these kinds of activities with me.

The plan at first was a girls sleepover since she was the promoter, but of course Matias didn't want to be left out, so we had to reorganize everything to be able to sleep the three of us in his room, since the idea was that Miranda would be in his bed and I in Matias', so to be able to be the three of us we decided to join the beds and that alone detail for them was super fun.

As soon as the beds were organized the programmed activities began.

The first thing would be the hairdresser! For that we organized everything necessary and Miranda was the first "client " attended by me, so I decided to take advantage of the game to give her a hairstyle for school, since earlier I had told her and she said she didn't want a hairstyle, but of course mom knew that if it was part of the game she would say yes, which of course happened and she was absolutely beautiful and satisfied with the work of the beauty salon.

For her part she did the spiked hairstyle that Matias wore during the sleepover and the next day it took her forever to remove the gel so she could go to school.

As for me, Miranda was in charge of doing my hair and she put two little clips on one side of my hair, which is how I usually do her hair, since she prefers to wear her hair loose.

After we were all beautiful the games followed and we chose two of the faster games to play several times. So 4 in a row and Black Out were the selected ones.

And of course we couldn't have a sleepover without anything to eat while we played, so we had cotufas and banana cupcakes of which I will soon leave you the recipe in #hivefood.

We played until after ten o'clock because the next day they had to go to school and at that moment everything got out of control because they decided to invite dad to sleep with us and you can imagine how it would be in two single beds!

They made their arguments and even measured my bed and compared it with theirs and said that if we could all sleep in my bed, we could also sleep there because it was the same size, so there were no more arguments because they were right, on many occasions the four of us have slept in our King bed.

Having said that we tried different positions to accommodate the four of us in the two beds but they realized that they are not so small and we had to draw lots to see who would stay with them and I was the winner, although after a few hours I did not feel so lucky!

My kids have grown a lot and although the two beds together were really big enough for the three of them, they were getting under me, so after two hours I wanted to go to the comfort of my little bed, but I was afraid they would wake up and I would have deserted the sleepover, especially after they preferred to sacrifice the weekend premiere of HBO (Lilo Lilo Crocodile) to play together, so I stoically endured a whole night of kicking, elbowing and the occasional push and shove.

They woke up happy and I was a terrible sleeper, but I wouldn't change a thing about that special night with my kids.

Validating their ideas and opinions, and supporting them in their little craziness and adventures helps to strengthen their self-esteem and self-confidence, so there is definitely no time better spent than the time I spend with them.

El tiempo mejor invertido es el que paso con mis niños, y acompañarlos en sus aventuras e inventos me ha regalado momentos mágicos como la pijamada del domingo!

Feliz día pspitos de #motherhood, espero se encuentren súper bien! Ya estamos a mitad de semana... no les parece que va muy rápido? El día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una experiencia súper divertida con mis hijos y es que mi pequeña Miranda siempre está inventando cosas como restaurantes, tardes de té, cumpleaños de sus muñecos y mucho más!

En ésta oportunidad quiso programar una pijamada llena de juegos la noche del domingo pasado, y aunque el lunes era día de escuela accedí! Están creciendo tan rápido que quiero aprovechar que aún desean hacer este tipo de actividades conmigo.

El plan en principio era una pijamada de chicas pues ella fué la promotora, pero por supuesto Matías no quiso quedarse por fuera, así que tuvimos que reorganizar todo para poder dormir los tres en su habitación, ya que la idea era que Miranda estaría en su cama y yo en la de Matías, así que para poder estar los tres decidimos unir las camas y ése solo detalle para ellos fue súper divertido.

En cuanto las camas estuvieron organizadas comenzaron las actividades programadas.

Lo primero sería la peluquería! Para lo que organizamos todo lo necesario y Miranda fue la primera "clienta" atendida por mí, así que decidí aprovechar el juego para hacerle un peinado para el colegio, ya que temprano le había dicho y dijo que no quería peinado, pero por supuesto mamá sabía que si era parte del juego ella diría que sí, lo que por supuesto sucedió y quedó absolutamente bella y satisfecha con el trabajo del salón de belleza.

Por su parte ella hizo el peinado con pinchos que usó Matías durante la pijamada y que al día siguiente le costó un mundo retirar el gel para poder ir al liceo.

En cuanto a mí, Miranda fue la encargada de peinarme y me puso dos ganchitos a uno de los lados del cabello que es como generalmente la peino a ella, pues prefiere llevar su cabello suelto.

Después de estar todos bellos siguieron los juegos y escogimos dos de los que se desarrollan más rápido para poder jugar varias veces. Así que 4 en línea y Black Out fueron los seleccionados.

Y por supuesto no podíamos tener una pijamada sin nada para comer mientras jugábamos, así que teníamos cotufas y cupcakes de banana de los que prontito les dejaré la receta en #hivefood.

Jugamos y hasta contamos historias de terror hasta pasadas las diez ya que al día siguiente debían ir al colegio y en ése momento todo se descontroló porque decidieron invitar al papá a dormir con nosotros y se imaginarán cómo sería aquello en dos camas individuales!

Expusieron sus alegatos y hasta midieron mi cama y la compararon con las de ellos y dijeron que si podíamos dormir todos en mi cama, también podíamos dormir ahí porque median igual, así que no hubo más discusiones pues tenían razón, en muchas oportunidades hemos dormido los cuatro en nuestra cama King.

Dicho ésto probamos diferentes posiciones para acomodarnos los cuatro en las dos camas pero se dieron cuenta que ya no son tan pequeños y tuvimos que hacer un sorteo para saber quién se quedaría con ellos y resulté ganadora, aunque después de unas horas no me sentí tan afortunada!!

Mis niños han crecido mucho y aunque realmente las dos camas juntas eran lo suficientemente grande para los tres, ellos se metían debajo de mí, por lo que luego de dos horas quería irme a la comodidad de mi camita, pero me dio cosita que despertaran y yo hubiese desertado de la pijamada, sobre todo luego que prefirieron sacrificar el estreno de fin de semana de HBO (Lilo Lilo Cocodrilo) para poder jugar juntos, así que estoicamente soporté toda una noche de patadas, codazos y uno que otro empujoncito.

Ellos por su parte despertaron felices y yo con un sueño terrible, pero no cambiaría nada de esa noche especial con mis niños.

Validar sus ideas y opiniones, y apoyarlos en sus pequeñas locuras y aventuras ayudan a fortalecer su autoestima y su seguridad en sí mismos, por lo que definitivamente no hay tiempo mejor invertido, que ése que paso con ellos.
