Hello Food Friends,

Today I have the main from the Masterchef Experience Menu. Now, when I saw this, I knew I had to book because lamb is my favourite meat and I love it with mint too. Here is what my taste experience was like.

"Spring lamb - Nanna's faggot - Potato dauphinoise - Courgette - Pea and mint ketchup"

"MC Quarter Final 2018"

First of all, I had never had a faggot before. I'm pretty sure it's made with offal and that does not sound appealing. It did look very appetising though. The deep rich brown colour and the shine on it too. When I cut into it, it looked like a rich meatball. It tasted really good too and it had lots of spices in it. Hugely tasteful and it's made me open to eating more faggots. The lamb was a beautiful pink colour and it was really succulent and tender. I had never seen dauphinoise potatoes so precise and thin and I loved the way it was stacked and cooked. It was very neat and it had a brilliant flavour to it. The pieces of courgette were nice as the plate needed that bit of veg. The pea and mint ketchup was full of flavour and it went exceptionally well with the lamb. It was vibrant in colour and the texture was so smooth. One of the best lamb dishes I've ever had!
