Noodle Crackers With Satay Sauce

Hi bloggers and food lovers. What are your favorite snacks? This time I'm going to share the recipe for one of my favorite snacks, it's named kerupuk Yeye, curly noodle crackers, which are shaped like noodles, made from tapioca flour, and eaten with a thick, spicy satay sauce, it's one of our traditional sauce with spices and aromatics. Okay, let's get started.
Ingredients:
- 100 grams of Yeye noodle crackers
- Ground satay spices (shallots, garlic, turmeric, galangal, ginger, ground chili, candlenuts)
- 2 cardamom pods
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 turmeric leaf
- 3 tablespoons rice flour
- 600 ml water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- vegetable oil
Steps:

- Fry the noodle crackers over high heat on low heat

Cook until browned
Remove and drain

- Heat the oil



- Sauté the ground spices, cardamom, turmeric leaf, and bay leaf until cooked


- Add water and bring to a boil


- Dissolve the rice flour in a glass

- Add to the satay sauce mixture


- Stir continuously over medium heat until thickened

- Once thickened to the desired consistency, turn off the heat and let the satay sauce cool



- Serve on a plate

- Eat the crackers by dipping them in the sauce or spreading it on top of the noodle crackers
