My Lovely Fresh Start - New Year Resolutions

Hello friends, welcome to the first prompt of 2026 @indiaunited community. The theme for this week is "A Fresh Start- New Year Resolutions"
At the beginning of a new year, most people try to do things differently to achieve a goal. They set new goals or update existing ones and try all their best to achieve set down goals.

My 2026 Resolutions is summarized in three sentences.

The first on my list is financial stability. I don't know about other countries, but in my country, Nigerian, it's difficult to survive. Last year, we experienced the highest inflation, which affected a lot of things. Food became so expensive, rent was increased by more than a hundred 💯 percent, people became homeless, and many died because they couldn't survive the harsh economy.

I tried to scale through along with my family and friends, supporting each other and having an interchange of encouragement. So, to avoid being taken unaware, I made plans to have multiple sources of income. I recently got a physical store where I sell food related items. I still sell other stuff online like shoes, bags, etc, and I'm still thinking of what to add to my store that would bring traffic so that there's a good daily turnover.

Having multiple sources of income in this present economy is the best thing that can happen to anyone because the expenses are just three much. So, having my store is a good addition to me along with other programs I run.

The second on my list would be a good savings plan. I know I'm very good at savings, but this time around, I want specific savings plans for different purposes. Savings from my different sources of income and having a saving for emergency cases so I don't get stranded when something happens and funds are needed almost immediately. I also want to take my HBD savings seriously so that I can earn passively through the interest my saved HBD generates.

The third thing I want to achieve is building myself on Hive. I know this requires efforts and commitments on my part. I want to try my best to be more consistent and engaging, I want to explore other aspects of #Hive, learn more, and achieve a lot more here. I was impressed to see how good I did in 2025 through the Hive Wrap, and I would love to do better this year, 2026.

I also want to surround myself with encouraging friends. Friends who are happy to see me grow, appreciative friends, and not those who are greedy and selfish. I also want to be an encouraging friend to others because we need each others support in this difficult time.

Lastly, I want to strengthen my relationship with God. I believe I can do more to thank him for life, good health, and protection over my friends, family, and I.

I want to review this post in 2027 and thank God for my accomplishments, business growth, and family expansion
