Learning New Skills With Limited Success

I have been trying to learn the art of

with limited success. I still manage to get egg white everywhere. To cut myself some slack, I will acknowledge my eggs are from the neighbor's chickens, and not uniform white graded factory-farmed store-bought cackleberries. Why choose easy mode to learn?

When offering library programs or writing blog posts, I try to avoid over-selling my own knowledge and skill. I want to encourage people to try new things and show my own progress. My goal is to nurture others as they expand their own horizons.

So with that in mind, if you haven't tried learning to crack eggs one-handed, do it. Expect messes along the way. Clean them up and try again. If you make fried or scrambled eggs, omelettes, etc. more often than I do, you will surpass me swiftly. Practice makes perfect!
