Wednesday Hump Day!……..My Actifit Report Card: November 26 2025

It’s Wednesday-it’s hump day and……it’s the day before Thanksgiving! 🦃

We were busy today both in the morning and afternoon. Midway through, there were a couple of ‘no shows’ to break it up.

I was very busy despite the lull in the appointments as I was trying to get Friday’s insurance verified since we are closed tomorrow. There’s always issues with that as people don’t know who their insurance is through or they give incorrect information or as in the last mystery that I haven’t solved yet, are running on an insurance card issued in 2020. Of course it’s not valid-it brings up nothing for the patient and they’ve apparently not paid any attention to the 5 cards issued since this one was. 🙄 😔

Chances are that the company changed insurance companies and they’ve not used their insurance lately. 😏

The one thing I’ve noticed too, is that folks seem to need more help with things like insurance or even in stuff that the office staff shouldn’t actually do, but we do anyway to help them out. Rather than come in with their phone to take any pictures they might should, they call from home asking if I’d take pics of specific frames and email them? Well, I did, but I really had other work that needed doing. I took the pics with my personal phone; emailed them to the clinic; created a new email and attached them to it to send to the patient. A bit on the laborious side, but I’m not giving out my personal info!

All in a day’s work I suppose. Nonetheless, the day is done; I’m done until Friday as the clinic is closed tomorrow for Thanksgiving and I’m looking forward to a day of cooking a small feast for @silvertop and myself.
