Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

Today is Mother's Day here in the USA, so we would like to take a moment to wish a really Happy Mother's Day to everyone out there! This goes out regardless of whether you are a cat mom or a mom to little Hoomans!

We cats in the household are all very grateful for the fact that we now have a warm and happy home where we are loved. But it wasn't always so.

All of us here were basically "orphans" in a sense, in that we were left at the animal shelter as kittens because whomever was the caretaker of our Feline mothers did not want to have to personally deal with a litter of kittens.

Thankfully, we were adopted into loving circumstances, and we are very grateful for that. Unfortunately not everyone — Feline and Hooman alike — is that fortunate and end up having to live very difficult and challenging lives.

Our Mom-Hooman is actually visiting the Daughter-Hooman this weekend, to spend time with the latest addition to our extended family, a baby born on April 9th.

Wherever you may be right now, do take a moment to be grateful for your mothers, who undoubtedly worked very hard regardless of whether or not you have a close relationship with them.

And even if you don't have an actual biological mother to thank, be grateful for the mother-like people in your life, much like I am grateful to have a Mom-Hooman!
