Greetings, Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

We have made it to the weekend once again, and that means we have arrived at Caturday, my favorite day of the week. Time, as always, to share some cat photos from the past few weeks!

The sun feels good!

This is a special sort of weekend because it is also the Summer Solstice here, which marks the longest day of the year. We love that, of course, because it means more hours of sunny spots to nap in!

Of course, nature has a sense of humor — the rain is pouring down, today!

I don't mind the rainy days too much, because that also means that the Hoomans end up spending their day indoors, and that means more playtime and attention for us cats!

Shangri, hanging over the edge...

On the whole, everyone is doing well. Shangri and Nala are starting to develop their own personalities, now that they have made it past the stage of just learning to become comfortable in the house.

Nala is turning out to be a pretty social cat, often wandering room to room to check up on what the Hoomans and other cats are doing... and sometimes sitting in the middle of a room, meowing plaintively because she feels that she has suddenly gotten "lost!"

So we have to go find her and reassure her that she is not lost.

Shangri is basically a "friendly goofball," and the cat most likely to be hanging upside down from one of the cat towers... just because he can. Or maybe he's just mildly autistic...

Regardless, he is one of the sweetest natured cats we have ever known, even if he's still a little uneasy and sometimes runs and hides, for no particular reason.

All stretched out!

We're rather saddened to see our Hive token dip below $0.20 again... really weren't expecting that to happen, but I suppose it has something to do with unrest in the greater world.

Sometimes I can't help but wonder whether this community and all its features will ever be "found" and used to a greater degree than we are currently seeing.

I hope it does, of course... but I'm not going to hold my breath on that one!

On the upside, it seems Hive is definitely here to stay, and as long as there are witnesses willing to keep things going, Hive will keep going.

That is important to me, as I am here for the long term! So far, that has been over seven years, and I definitely hope to celebrate a 10th Anniversary of the Curator Cat blog!

Next week the Mom-Hooman will be heading out-of-town again to go spend some time with the Daughter-Hooman and the new grandbaby. After a somewhat shaky start in life, the little one is thankfully doing better!

Meanwhile, the Dad-Hooman continues the long slow process of "getting rid of stuff" the Hoomans no longer use... ahead of the whole family moving to a smaller space, in the future.
