A nostalgic trip with Crash Bandicoot (PSX) - surprisingly difficult [ ENG - ESP ]

When all else fails, it's always good to go back to the classics, to what you know you loved at some point. In my case, to video games that kept me entertained throughout my childhood and, of course, those that, even out of nostalgia, I tend to revisit. I've been doing some research into the emulator section to understand a little more about their use and to see how far we've come in something as important as preserving the video game

It's something that's rarely discussed, but I think that with the passage of time and the apathy of the big studios with these proposals, I think it's left us in a position where it's difficult to play some games without resorting to pages of dubious origin, but they often give us some joy, especially to people like me who love to remember certain things. games

I had a Playstation, one of the first, and although I couldn't beat any of the games I had, I enjoyed them like never before. One of them was the first Crash Bandicoot, which is now full of reboots and excellent games. Back then, it was merely an attempt to make a mascot for Sony's console. Needless to say, that game is a lot of fun.

So I decided to play it on my PC for a couple of hours. I won't go into details about how, but let's just say that with a couple of minutes on the internet, you'll get an idea of ​​what you have to do to play it. It's a game. which is surprisingly well optimized for PC, something I'm sure I'll hardly see with other PSX games, the emulator does it quite well

I didn't imagine it was going to be so difficult to coordinate the controls, sometimes I wonder how hard it must have been back then to make a 3D video game, but at the same time I think that with time taking the reins of the bandicoot you get used to it and start to pass the levels, although this game is by no means easy, especially being a platforms

The first levels are fine, just jump over a few obstacles, attack anything that moves, and reach the end. The bear gets more complicated when They've added platforms and pits we can fall into. Even in the first 5 levels, there are some sections that I found difficult.

I don't know if it's because being able to play with the arrow keys and not with a joystick, but controlling Crash was a nightmare for me in some sections, and let's not even talk about the final bosses that finish us off in a couple of attacks and it's not entirely clear at first glance what we have to do apart from dodging their attacks.

I didn't get used to its controls at all, but I can say that it motivated me to want to buy a joystick to play these games as they should be played. There were other games that could be played with the emulator, but the truth is that I was more than satisfied with this little classic. I passed several of the levels that were coming

Cuando todo falla siempre es bueno volver a lo clasico, a lo que sabes que en algun momento te encantó, en mi caso a videojuegos que me mantuvieron entretenido durante toda mi infancia y por supuesto los que aun por nostalgia tiendo a revisitar, he estado investigando un poco el apartado de los emuladores para entender un poco mas sobre su uso y para ver que tan avanzado estamos en algo tan importante como la preservación del videojuego

Es algo que pocas veces se discute epro creo que con el paso del tiempo y lo apáticas que son los grandes estudios con estas propuestas creo que nos ha dejado en una posición en donde es difícil jugar algunos juegos sin recurrir a paginas de dudosa procedencia, pero muchas veces nos dan algunas alegrías en especial a sujetos como yo que le encanta recordar ciertos juegos

Tuve una Playstation, una de las primeras, y aunque no lograba pasar ninguno de los juegos que tenia si que los disfrutaba como nunca, uno de ellos era el primer crash bandicoot, el que hoy esta lleno de reboots y excelentes juegos, en aquel entonces era un mero intento para hacer una mascota para la consola de Sony, sobra decir que ese juego es muy divertido

Asi que decidí jugármelo en la pc un par de horas, no voy a entrar en detalles sobre como, pero digamos que con un par de minutos en el internet ya te haces una idea de lo que tienes que hacer para jugarlo, es un juego que esta sorpresivamente bien optimizado para las pc, cosa que seguro a duras penas voy a ver con otros juegos de la PSX, el emulador lo hace bastante bien

No me imaginaba que iba a ser tan difícil coordinar los controles, a veces me pongo a pensar en lo duro que debió haber sido en ese entonces hacer un videojuego en tres dimensiones pero a la vez creo que con un tiempo llevando las riendas del bandicoot te acostumbras bien y empiezas a pasar los niveles, aunque para nada es que este juego sea fácil en especial siendo un plataformas

En los primeros niveles no hay problema, es de solo saltar unos cuantos obstaculos, atacar a lo que se mueva y llegar hasta el final, la osa se pone mas complicada cuando nos agregan las plataformas y las fosas a las que podemos caer, incluso en los primeros 5 niveles hay algunos tramos que se me han hecho dificiles

No se si es por estar jugando con las flechas del teclado y no con un joystick pero controlar a Crash se me hizo una pesadilla en algunos tramos y no hablemos de los jefes finales que nos acaban en un par de ataques y no está del todo claro a primera vista que tenemos que hacer aparte de esquivar sus ataques

No me acostumbre para nada a sus controles pero si se puede decir que me motivó a querer comprarme un joystick para jugar estos juegos como se deben jugar, habian otros juegos que se podian jugar con el emulador pero la verdad es que estaba mas que satisfecho con este pequeño clasico, me pase varios de los niveles que venian

Quizás en otro momento me atreva a completarlos del todo, es una tarea ardua pero siento que sera buen contenido para publicar por aqui, por ahora eso es todo, si quieren que traiga algun juego por aca solo tienen que pedirlo en los comentarios y esten atentos que en los proximos dias va a salir un nuevo juego gratis para las pc
