A very good day to you all on this beautiful day, i hope you are all doing great and having a lovely time at your respective places, it is so nice to be here today again to share with you the making of this beautiful red gown outfit with round shoulder cape for my sister's friend's daughter.

Sometimes ago, i was contacted by my sister that her friend would want me to make her an outfit for an event which her did, later she brought some fabrics that she wants me to make a simple gown outfit for her daughter as well, then i went online so search for beautiful gown outfit for kids and she eventually fell in love with this particular style but i did some simple modifications on it to make it stylish and beautiful. This is actually my first time making a round shoulder cape and I'm so glad the outcome looks nice. Let me take you through the cutting and sewing process on how to make this beautiful gown outfit.

From the red lace floral fabric, i cut out the full length minus the half length measurement with the round waist circumference measurements by 3, i took it to my sewing machine to run a long stitch on it and it was gathered to the round waist measurement plus zipper allowance

I did same on the satin, lining and hard net to make it fuller like a ball gown, the net was not enough, so i had to made do with what i have in order to cut cost

All the gathered lower bodice were set aside as i proceeded to the upper bodice. The front upper bodice was drafted on a brown paper with york before it was transferred to the main fabric. The york was cut out on a plain fabric.

The other part of the upper bodice was cut out on the floral lace fabric and satin

Both pieces were sewn together while i use lining to turn the neckline and armhole for neat finishing.

I cut out a basic block for the back bodice with lining to turn the neckline and armhole as well

The front and back were sewn together at the shoulder and at both sides with the side seam allowance

The gathered piece that were set aside were sewn to wiast circumference of the upper bodice one after the other starting from the floral lace, satin, hard net and lastly lining

I sew a matching color zipper at tge zipper allowance at the back and proceeded to the cape. Using the round chest measurements, i cut out a long piece from the main fabric and satin as lining and it was sewn together after which it was sewn on round the chest line down to the zipper at the back. This is the beautiful outcome after the hem of the were neatly folded in.

The cape also serves as the sleeves and you can see how beautiful this turns out. I hope you like the beautiful outcome.
