Its another beautiful day to us all in this community @needleworkmonday i hope you all had a great weekend. It's another creative day for us all in this great community for us to showcase our beautiful creativity. Going through some of our sewmate projects, i can say we are all doing extremely great job here. Today, i will be sharing with you the successful completion of the project i have at hand for awhile now, i was to make this beautiful outfit for mother and her two daughters for an event and the outcome was so nice and well appreciated

At first, i started with the mother's outfit which was a long gown with ruffle on the chest line and long sleeves with a red camisole to complement the gown

After making the mother's outfit, i proceeded to the making of the two daughters gown which was a ball dress with half length and a round shoulder cape which also serves as the sleeves. Actually, this is my first time of making a round shoulder cape and I'm so happy with the beautiful outcome.

At first, i had to start with one of the daughter's outfit and the same process was used to achieve the other one since it's same style but with different measurements as one is for the older daughter and the other for the younger one.

Join me as i take you through the cutting and seeing process.

First thing first, i drafted the upper bodice of the gown using the bodice measurements i took to make the half length with yoke at the chest line where the cape would be, this was placed on the main fabric to cut it out.

The back bodice was cut out as well but with a basic block using the half length measurement as well

The front and back were sewn and turned with a matching color lining for neat finishing

I went ahead to sew the front and back together at tge shoulder and the side seam with the side seam allowance and it was set aside.

Now to the lower bodice of the outfit to make a complete gown. I measured and cut out x3 of the round waist measurement with zipper allowance on the main fabric

I also take same measurements on the lining, satin and hard neat which were all gathered together to the waist circumference measurements plus zipper allowance

All these were sewn to the waist line of the upper bodice one after the other starting from the main fabric, satin, hard net and lining to give it tgat beautiful fullness.

I measured a long piece using the round shoulder measurements from the main fabric and satin which weresewn together, it was turned inside out and sewn on the round chest line.

Finally, the hem were folded in with a zipper seen to the zipper allowance at the back and this is the beautiful outcome of the same outfit made for the two lovely girls.
