Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - Datasheet Review post!
What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit in the game of Warhammer 40,000
The last of the Indexes! A new challenge!
Right, I am finally ahead and by my best estimations as I explained in this Post, I should be able to keep ahead of the release curve and get the remainder of the Indexes reviewed before those Codex releases.
So I embark on a new challenge. I have calculated that there are roughly 148 reviews to do. I have chosen my frequency and have given myself 96 days to review them all. That means that I am aiming at Day 96 being the 21st of July 2025!
Today is Day 7/96.
I have reviewed 10/148.
Time elapsed: 7.29%
Review Completion: 6.75%
A sliver under par!
Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear
With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.
I am collecting funds in the following ways:
- Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
- Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
- Selling some of the collection to friends.
At the current count I am paying off some hobby debts. I still have $245 to pay off!
Every bit counts!
Back to the review!
Imperial Knights, Crusader
10th Edition Index
Straight out the bat, it feels like Imperial Knights are more expensive than Chaos Knights...
This, is the Crusader - One of the Questoris Pattern Titanic Imperial Knights. It is called the Crusader, which, if this were a Space Marine, would likely mean that it was fast and it stopped at NOTHING.
But this is an Imperial Knight and I can only imagine that cinematically this guy runs and stops and runs and stop. LOL. Because of its rule!
They are 445pts to field.
Let's check its stats and abilities!
Stats
Movement 10"
Toughness 12
Save 3+/5++(invul against ranged only) (armor/invul/Feel No Pain)

Melee Weapons
Titanic Feet
4 Attacks, Hitting on 3+, S8, AP-1 and 2 Damage each.
Abilities
Deadly Demise D6 (When this model is destroyed, roll a dice to see if it explodes. On a 6 it does so, dealing D6 damage to every unit within 6" of this model)
Punishing Salvoes
When this model remains stationery in the Movement Phase, its Ranged Weapons all gain Sustained Hits!
Crusader’s Duty
Bondsman ability. Therefore this model can use this ability in the Command Phase to select one Armiger. That Armiger gets a +1 to hit for ranged weapons.
Thoughts
It is all up on personal preference here.
Full Anti-Infantry and Heavy Infantry: Avenger Gatling Cannon, Rapid-fire Battle Cannon, Ironstorm Missile Pod and 2x Questoris Heavy Stubbers, Heavy Flamer
This with a Stationery Fix at around 36" for max ability, you could hold your home objective and just ham at whatever you see.
A bit more aggressive is the tank hunting Knight. Because those weapons have a shorter range. Though you can't get rid of the Avenger Gatling Cannon.
Thus: Avenger Gatling Cannon, Thermal Cannon, Meltagun, Stormspear Rocket Pod, Heavy Flamer.
That Thermal Cannon is most dangerous of course at 12" but to get a shot off Stationery at 12 means that the enemy either does not want to be in melee with you, which at 4 attacks, I would do with just about anything just to reduce your accuracy in shooting. Or you are actually waiting for the enemy to step into range. Or perhaps you have 2x Armiger Warglaives in front of it or some other unit... but it cannot pull that off on its own.
So far - This guy deals more damage on paper than the Chaos Knights!
And that's it for now!
That makes 5 Imperial Knight Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 45.45% Completed! The total of the remaining Index reviews is now 138.
Thank you for reading!
