😱😱😱
Excuse me while I instantly stop playing Last Epoch and leap head-first straight into the nostalgia-filled remaster of freakin' OBLIVION!While I'm disappointed that it's not Morrowind, Oblivion is still amazing. And so much more amazing than Skyrim. And I'm totally hyped to jump into the past and relive my most glorious days.
Like, I used to live and breathe this game. I am super stoked right now! 😆 Prepare for a bazillion adventure time posts!!!!! Like, it's been sooooo long, I barely remember details other than the Adoring Fan and sneaking around the daedric planes and buying a house in Bruma.
So.
COME JOIN ME ON A NEW ADVENTURE THROUGH CYRODIIL! ⚔️

Caelyra. Wood elf of Reaper's March. Imprisoned for repeat-offense theft, now she waits out her days in the Imperial Prison.
And I can tell you now: she looks a HELLUVALOT better than my old character back in the day. 😄😆

Today was her lucky day, though. After days imprisoned in this dump, listening to the jeering of her neighbouring prisoner, a group of important-looking people were approaching her cell.
It was the Emperor himself, and a small group of his trusted Blades.
Apparently the Emperor was under threat of some assassins and the secret passage out of the city just so happened to be located in this very cell. How fortuitous.

Caelyra crept behind the Emperor and his guard, trying to keep out of the way. She was a very good prisoner, yes, she was a nice prisoner, she didn't need to meet their blades. She would stay out of the way and keep to herself and soon she would find freedom.
The Blades didn't see it that way though. They didn't trust her so close to the Emperor and they soon parted ways, thus forcing her to go through the goblin and rat infested caves that lay beside the prison depths.

As fate would have it, the monster-infested tunnels soon led back to the prison tunnels and the Emperor himself.
She arrived just in time to see the men under attack. The Emperor pulled her aside while his Blades fought the strange robed people and told her that he had seen her in his dreams, that he trusted her, and he would give her his Amulet of Kings that she must take to Jauffre, only he knew of his illegitimate son, the one remaining heir to the throne.
And with those parting words, an assassin leapt out of the shadows and slayed the Emperor right before her eyes.

The one remaining Blade slew the last assassin then wept over the Emperor before getting a hold of himself. He asked Caelyra what the Emperor had told her and she relayed the man's last words to him: that he had given her the Amulet of Kings and wanted her to take it to Jauffre, that Jauffre knew of the one remaining heir.
The man nodded, that made sense to him. He then asked if she was a bard, if so, she would have no trouble doing this task.
That was sweet of him. No, she was no eloquent bard... merely a thief.

The Blade nodded, apparently satisfied with her self-proclaimed job description, and sent her on her way to seek out Jauffre and this last heir of the Emperor.
She might be a ruthless thief, but she was also a woman of her word. She would take this necklace to this Jauffre fellow, and then get on with her life.
Stepping out of the dark prison, she breathed in the fresh air.

She delighted in the simple beauty of nature's finest animals.

Then got set upon by bandits.
The audacity.
After taking down the two outside the lair, she marched inside their hide-out and took down the rest! How dare they impede her sacred mission for the dead Emperor. How dare they interfere with her grand quest to reclaim her life.

At least they dropped some lighter armour. She had originally taken the armour of the fallen Blades, but it was heavy and cumbersome and not something she wanted to heave all across the land.
The bandits' armour was much more to her liking.

The Blade had told her that Jauffre was located at Weynon Priory, and she hurriedly followed the signs leading in that direction. The faster she got the Amulet to this man, the faster she could go do her own thing, no longer burdened by a dying man's wish.
A khajiit sensed her haste and desperation though, crossing her path and demanding her gold or her life.
She didn't have time for this.
She threw the 100 golden coins she had found in the bandit's lair at the cat and continued on her way. Next they meet, her blade would meet his furry throat.

Finally she stumbled into the Priory. After asking several random people where Jauffre was, they pointed her to the main house and soon she stood before him.
Offering him the Amulet, his eyes widened. He asked about the Emperor, about his dying words, about her journey to him... then declared that he indeed knew of the Emperor's illegitimate son. His name was Martin and he had become a Priest of Kvatch. And if what Caelyra had told him was true, then the man's life was in danger.

Jauffre leapt to his feet and opened a nearby chest. He told her to take whatever gear she required - she needed to get to Kvatch post-haste and bring Martin back to him.
Caelyra released a heavy sigh. Apparently her burden was not yet over. It seemed she was now tasked with finding this... Martin.
Fine.
She grabbed a steel bow and steel arrows from the chest, then replaced her bandit armour with some fine leather attire. If nothing else, at least she'd gotten some free gear out of this situation.

Peering at a nearby map, she realised Kvatch was going to be quite the journey. She would have to hurry if she was going to get there before the assassins reached Martin.
This was it. She would do this last request for the now-deceased Emperor, since Jauffre seemed incapable of doing it himself. And THEN get on with her life.
Surely by the time she rescued this priest, this future Emperor, she'd have earnt it.
Until next time! ⚔️🔥
