Ingredients
āļø 4 cups strong brewed coffee
š¬ 1/2 cup granulated sugar
š„ 4 cups whole milk (or 2% / skim)
š« 6 tablespoons cocoa powder
šæ 2 teaspoons peppermint extract
š„ 1.5 cups Captain Morgan Spiced Rum
š¦ Reddi-wip Whipped Cream
š¬ Crushed candy canes
š Individual candy canes
Instructions
1- Prepare Your Instant Pot:
- Pour 4 cups of strong brewed coffee into the inner pot of the Instant Pot DUO Mini (3-quart size).
2- Sweeten and Heat:
- Add 1/2 cup of granulated sugar to the coffee and whisk thoroughly until the sugar is completely dissolved.
3- Make it Creamy:
- Pour in 4 cups of whole milk (or your preferred alternative) into the mixture.
- Stir well.
4- Add Chocolate Indulgence:
- Introduce 6 tablespoons of cocoa powder.
- Whisk thoroughly to ensure complete dissolution and to prevent any from sticking to the bottom.
5- Flavor with Peppermint:
- Mix in 2 teaspoons of peppermint extract.
- Whisk again until well combined.
6- Pressure Cook the Latte:
- Secure the lid on the Instant Pot and set the steam release valve to sealing.
- Select "Pressure Cook" mode and set the timer for 1 minute on High Pressure.
7- Release the Pressure Slowly:
- Once the cooking cycle is complete, use a slow release method by carefully turning the steam release handle a small amount at a time until all pressure is safely released.
8- Add a Spirited Twist:
- Open the lid and stir in 1.5 cups of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum.
- Whisk the mixture one final time.
9- Serve and Garnish:
- Ladle the latte into festive red coffee mugs.
- Top with a generous swirl of Reddi-wip whipped cream.
- Sprinkle with crushed candy canes and insert individual candy canes for a festive and stir-friendly garnish.
