Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - Datasheet Review post!

What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit in the game of Warhammer 40,000

The last of the Indexes! A new challenge!

Right, I am finally ahead and by my best estimations as I explained in this Post, I should be able to keep ahead of the release curve and get the remainder of the Indexes reviewed before those Codex releases.

So I embark on a new challenge. I have calculated that there are roughly 148 reviews to do. I have chosen my frequency and have given myself 96 days to review them all. That means that I am aiming at Day 96 being the 21st of July 2025!

Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear

With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.

I am collecting funds in the following ways:

• Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
• Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
• Selling some of the collection to friends.

At the current count I am paying off some hobby debts. I still have $226 to pay off!

Chaos Daemons, Bloodletters

10th Edition Index

These Daemons are manifestations of hate, rage and violence. Daemons like this tend to have a little bit of variance but their basic shape and function comes from the minds of the trillions of sentient species that have a concept of murder and violence.

They are the result!

It is 110pts for 10 of them. They are Battleline so you can field up to 6 units of them.

Let's check their stats and abilities!

Weapons

Standard weapons: Hellblade,

1 Bloodletter can be equipped with an Instrument of Chaos
1 Bloodletter can be equipped with a Daemonic Icon

Models can only carry one of the two, but the squad can include both.

Ranged Weapons

None

Melee Weapons

Hellblade

2 Attacks, Hitting on 3+, S5, AP-2 and 2 Damage each.

Abilities

Deep Strike - If this unit arrives on the Battlefield from Reserves, it can be set up anywhere on the battlefield more than 9" from enemy models.

Bane of Cowards

When units (excluding Vehicles and Monsters) attempt to Fall Back from Engagement with this unit, the models in that unit must take a Desperate Escape Test when doing so. (Usually only done when a Battle-shocked unit Falls back, on a D6 roll of 1 or 2 that model is destroyed.) If that unit is Battle-Shocked then subtract 1 from the Desperate Escape tests.

Wargear Abilities

Daemonic Icon

This model's unit has a Leadership value of 6+

Instrument of Chaos

Add 1 to Charge rolls made for the bearer's unit.

Thoughts

Their strongest ability is in holding on to units 1/3 chance to lose models in a healthy unit. 1/2 chance if they are battle-shocked.

They are also really fast with M8". They would be difficult to avoid unless the Daemon player sticks the unit in the middle of no-where and they can shot off the board.

They are NOT very good at taking damage. T4 W1 with no Save and only a 5+ Invul save, they will tear like paper under decent sustained fire. This will greatly decrease their affect in combat when those numbers fall. However... 660pts for 60 of them would be really difficult to stop!

An army could easly fill the rest of an army list with all sorts of big and scary things, making this really dangerous!

That makes 7 Chaos Daemon Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 14% Completed! The total of the remaining Index reviews is now 126.
