Hello

How are you all?

Often, the history told only benefits the narrator. He or she will omit certain verses of the story that could embarrass or make them feel stupid, so that what is told is what makes them appear great and proud of what they have told. This usually happens to individuals, not national or general history.

It is undeniable that there are several very popular historical legends circulating among people in every region. Even though these histories are purely fictional and served as entertainment or as a reminder, many believe them to be authentic and glorify them. Others dismiss them as foolish and fake.

We all have different histories. What is history? History is a past event that happened and we experienced it. History can be personal to us without witnesses, or there are also events that happened to us personally and were witnessed by others. History is also a past event that has occurred in our country and the world.

I often tell my personal history to others. Whether it's my friends, my partner, or even my children, sometimes when I reveal past events, there are things I have to emphasize to make the story appear perfect and make me proud. There are also some aspects of the story that I have to hide to avoid misunderstandings and reveal my shortcomings. The point is, the story should benefit the reader. I do this to make the story I portray look good and perfect.

I realize that this isn't good, but on the other hand, I also don't want others to judge me as stupid and weak. I believe that true history is the story of a person's birth and the story of a nation because it's all witnessed and told by others. We can't tell the story of our own birth because at that time, we couldn't remember anything; we only heard the story from others, leaving no room for profit.

I believe these two histories are impossible to falsify because they are real and witnessed by many people and witnesses. Is it possible for a country to falsify its history? I think that's impossible and there's no benefit in this, because it all concerns national pride. I believe a foolish nation is one that forgets its national history. Why is that? Because every region has a dark, sad history, suffering due to colonialism and pride due to independence. I worry that future generations will be so preoccupied with technology and social media that they will forget their country's history.

What would happen if a country forgot its history? Forgetting the history of the struggles of the heroes of the reform era who fought against colonialism, willing to sacrifice their lives and possessions to defend their homeland and fight for independence. This is truly a terrible thing and cannot be allowed. The history that underpins a nation's struggle should be shown to the next generation through social media and also in schools, so that they understand their nation's history from an early age, so that they don't forget the struggles and bloodshed of past fighters. Otherwise, I fear they will easily forget it because today's social media, in the form of entertainment, can influence history, and they will lose interest in learning about it.
