Challenging the Battle Tower #23 Pokemon Emerald (En-Es)

Well, for a long time, this game has been something of a Pokémon Holy Grail, and one of the reasons for that is the Battle Frontier, which is by far the biggest challenge in the series. Upon entering the Tower, which is sort of the main attraction, it has several modes, the two most challenging being Singles and Doubles battles. I specialize in Doubles battles.

At first, the Tower battles might seem very simple, but the difficulty increases exponentially with each battle, and you could say they're cumulative: if you win and play again without leaving the Tower, you earn more Battle Points. One of the few things in the game that can't be cloned, faked, etc., is that trainers with stronger teams are also added. And it's not just their strength, but they're also becoming themed teams with strategies.

This is clearly a game made with a lot of love, because even at the top of the tower, we can find hundreds of trainers, each with their own unique play strategy tailored to their team and the battle situation. So, you can find everything from Pokémon from other generations that we don't have registered in the Pokedex to minor legendaries around which they build complex and effective strategies.

To challenge the Tower, my recommendation is to go with a mixed team. First, have a couple of highly offensive Pokémon that can easily wipe out beginner teams, so to speak. But have at least four Pokémon with great synergy and type coverage and a solid strategy, because after the third or fourth time facing the Tower, the battles increase significantly in level, and each one feels as if they're facing a real, very experienced trainer.

So, the Tower presents itself as that challenge to overcome, something that early-generation players spent hours on end screaming and training, stealing Pokemon and teams for. A ver por mucho tiempo este juego ha sido algo así como el Santo Grial de Pokemon y una de las razones por las que esto es así es El Frente Batalla y si es por mucho el mayor reto de la saga. Al entrar en la Torre que es algo así como la atracción principal esta tiene varias modalidades, las dos más retadoras son combates Singles y Dobles. En lo particular me especializo en combates dobles.

En un principio podrían parecer cambates muy sencillos los de la Torre, pero la dificultad va creciendo en cada combate en forma exponencial y se podría decir que son acomulativos, si ganas y vuelves a jugar sin salir de la Torre aparate de ganar más puntos de batalla. Una de las pocas cosas en el juego que no se pueden clonar, falsear, etc, también se suman entrenadores con equipos más fuertes. Y no solo es su fuerza sino que se van volviendo equipos temáticos y con estrategias.

Este se nota que es un juego hecho con mucho cariño, porque ya en la parte alta de la torre podemos encontrar cientos de entrenadores cada uno con su estrategia de juego partícular que se ajusta a su equipo y la situación en que se encuentre el combate. Así se puede encontrar de todo desde Pokemon de otras generaciones qué no tenemos registrados en el Pokedex hasta legendarios menores alrededor de los cuales trazan estrategias complejas y efectivas.

Para retar la Torre mi recomendación es ir con un Team misto. Primero tener un par de Pokemon muy ofensivos que puedan barrer fácilmente los equipos de los principiantes por así decirlo. Pero tener mínimo unos cuatro Pokemon con mucha sinergia y cobertura de tipo y una estrategia sólida, porque a partir del que se enfrente por 3ra o 4ta vez a la Torre los combates van aumentando mucho de nivel y cada uno se siente como si se engrentara a un entrenador real y muy experimentado.

Así la Torre se muestra como ese reto a vencer, para lo que los jugadores de las primeras generaciones pasaban horas en el psotgame dejándose la vida gritando y antrenando, robando Pokemon y equipos, esta es la finalidad para la que se jugaba Pokemon en Gba.
