As a stay at home mom, how do I cope up with anxiety?

Being a stay at home mom is fulfilling but its also stressful. A lot of moms are suffering from anxieties and depression all over the world and I am not exempted to that. There's a lot of reason why mothers became stressful and depressed and we can never blame them for that as their feelings are valid and normal because they are human.

Why stay at home mom became anxious?

Stay at home mom became anxious with reasons. Maybe they are just silent and never speak up but they have reasons for that.

Physically and mentally exhausted.

Once you became a stay at home mom you must accept the fact that your job will be 24/7. As a first time mom I had a huge adjustment in terms of doing the household stuff plus taking good care of my son and my husband. Being physically tired is also mentally tired for me as my mind is also working from time to time. Anxieties came when I started think about things like am I doing this right? Am I a good mom?

The effects of social media.

Social media has a huge effect on the anxiety of stay at home mom like me. A simple browsing on Facebook leads to anxiety when you started to see different life updates of your friends like travelling and having a good time and you compared it to yourself.

Financial Matters.

One of the best challenge of stay at home mom is do the budgeting everyday. Thinking about everyday expenses makes stay at home mom anxious especially now that inflation occurs.

As a stay at home mom, how I cope up with anxiety?

Give yourself a break.

Your a mom but you are not a robot. There's a lot of things to do but if you feel tired you can rest and breath. You can pamper yourself and relax. Watch your favorite KDrama series, little to music or drink coffee or tea while relaxing. Always remember that health is wealth and as a stay at home mom we should take good care of ourselves too.

Less exposure on social media and start doing new things.

If social media makes you anxious then try to lessen using it and instead find ways to make you entertain without internet. You can start to do things like sewing or painting. You can also try baking or cooking or even reading some books, In that way you can learn new things and at the same time you avoid the reason of your anxiety.

Pray.

Always remember that you have God. if you are anxious about your financial matter always remember that God will always provide. I you want someone who listen to you just pray and you will be okay. Prayer works and I know God will not leave you alone.

Talk to other stay at home mom.

Having someone who is willing to listen with your frustration and rants in life is a relief. If you are having an anxiety you can talk to other stay at home mom and you can comfort and encourage each other to be okay. Anxiety is part of motherhood journey but we can overcome it with the help of each other.
