Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Tournament Time

Seasons greetings everyone, we start out the new year same way we ended 2024 with our beloved splinterlands. This is my entry to the splinterlands social media challenge for this week. Let's get into one of the battles I had this week. I started playing tournament battles before the year ended and for this year new, playing more tournaments is one of my goals. I want to share with the community one of such tournament battles I have been a part of recently.

Battle Ruleset

	Might Makes Right: You can now only summon units with 3 or more ranged, magic or melee power
	Holy protection: All units have divine shield
	Equalizer: The initial health of all units is equal to that of the unit on either team with the highest health.

For this battle, I chose Tarsa summoner to give all my melee attack monsters +1 melee attack and +1 health.

Battle Tactics

In first position, I selected Grum Flameblade for its void armor ability and the high health. It served as my tank but also helped my enemy since the equalizer ruleset was applied.

I selected Djinn Inferni in second position for its giant killer ability. This allowd Djinn Inferni to do double damage if the enemy monster had 10 mana or more.

In third position I selected Tinderlock for its last stand and close range abilities.

Battle Details

Summoner buffs took effect and the battle began. First attacks from my enemy's second monster and my second monster did no damage exceot removing the divine shields from both our first monsters. My enemy's first monster then removed my first monster's shield. Both our last monsters attacked our first monsters before my first monster atacked to end the first round.

Round 2 started and my enemy unfortunately for him caused damage to his second and last monsters cause of the burning ability of the last monster. The second monster then reduced my first monster's health to 1 and my second monster killed my enemy's first. My enemy's last monster killed my first.

In round 3, my enemy started off my burning the remaining 2 monsters again making my work a little bit easier. Attacks flew in from both teams but no monster was killed.

At the start of round 4, burning occured again and an attack from my new first monster, Djinn Inferno killed my enemy's new first monster.

At the end of round 5, my first monster killed my enemy winning me one of the battles in this tournament.
