Attending 3 day Crypto Conference in Medellin, Colombia 🇨🇴

Thanks, to my forward-thinking, curious wife, I learned of Steemit/Hive, where I’ve been blogging for a few years, now, regularly.

So, it’s no surprise that during our visit to Colombia, she became aware of Cosmoverse 2022, a well-attended, well-organized 3 day affair exploring all things Cosmos-related.

A mostly young and colorful crowd (somewhere between 1000-1500 in attendance) it was a fun and informative mixer.

We are able to meet presenters who explained their various projects to us — ranging from security, environment, payment systems to cryptos & games. We learned of the importance of interoperability— using the same language (IBC) for different blockchain to communicate with one another.

Many good contacts were made and we learned of upcoming crypto/blockchain conference this October 10th, ETHLatAm (Ethereum Latin America) that we were told is a good introduction for beginners, held in Bogota.

Still figuring out if it’s worth our while to travel to attend this — my wife is looking for a job in this sphere (her background is finance) and she will make the final decision.

Meantime, if you’re interested & in the area, there will be another ETH LatAm, in Medellin, held on October 20th which will be more geared towards programmers.
