It was not my intention to come back this way, but I wanted to return to my happy place where I could always share with you. This time is different, I adopted a kitten which has not been easy and that is what I am going to talk about today. About how Panter (my cat), fights against his life to be with his new family.

Hola gente linda de Hive Pets, deseo se encuentren bien y estén teniendo un bonito día junto a sus mascotas. No era mi intención regresar de esta manera, más si quería volver a mi lugar feliz donde siempre pude compartir con ustedes. Está vez es diferente, adopte un gatito el cual no ha sido nada fácil y es de lo que vengo a hablarles hoy. Sobre como Panter (mi gato), lucha contra su vida para poder estar junto a su nueva familia.

I was interested at the second, I love cats and this one in particular I felt the immediate need to help him, because previously I have been presented with cases of kittens that need help and I could not help them, but this time I did not want it to be so ... I thought it would be easy, it would just be cold from the rain, but never anything serious. Until after a few check-ups to discover that he had worms in his backside, along with that we saw that he had a piece of something that looked like a piece of stick embedded, we decided to take him to an emergency vet who turned out to be a stylist, but in desperation I thought that she could help me anyway... Big mistake.

Les contaré un poco su historia, un día indagando por facebook, encontré la publicación de una compañera de la universidad que había encontrado un gatito en muy mal estado bajo la lluvia. Me mostré interesada al segundo, amo los gatos y este en particular sentí la necesidad inmediata de ayudarlo, debido a que anteriormente se me han presentado casos de gatitos que necesitan ayuda y no pude ayudarlos, pero está vez no quise que fuera así...Pensé que sería fácil, que solo estaría resfriado por la lluvia, pero nunca nada grave. Hasta que luego de unas revisiones descubrir que tenía gusanos en su trasero, junto con ello ver qué llevaba un trozo de algo que parecía un trozo de palo incrustado, decidimos llevarlo de emergencia a una veterinaria que resultó ser estilista, pero en el desespero pensé que podría ayudarme de igual forma...Grave error.

When we took Panter to the supposed vet, he helped us by removing the worms and even the piece of “stick” that turned out to be a big piece of hard, mushy poop that Panter had embedded in his butt, it even looked like someone had hurt him by sticking a stick or something blunt in his little hole, it looked in pretty bad shape.

Al llevar a Panter a la supuesta veterinaria, nos ayudó quitando los gusanos e incluso el pedazo de "palo" que resulto un gran trozo de popo pastoso y duro que Panter tenía incrustado en su trasero, hasta parecía que alguien lo había lastimado metiéndole algún palo o algo contundente en su pequeño agujero, se veía en muy mal estado.

After cleaning the area, the stylist told me to take care of him, she told me that he would be as good as new, he would only have to heal his wound, the worms had made a hole in his hole through which he would expel the eses, that is to say that he no longer had an anus as such, because the worms had disappeared it. At least that's what we thought.

Hablo en serio cuando les digo que Panter había pasado un mal rato cargando con eso allí, no podía sentarse bien y siempre chillaba del dolor. Luego de haberle limpiado la zona, la estilista me indico cuidados para él, me dijo que con eso quedaría como nuevo, solo tendría que sanar su herida, los gusanos le habían hecho un hueco en su hoyito por dónde expulsaría las eses, es decir que ya no tenía un ano como tal, porque los gusanos lo habían desaparecido.. Al menos eso pensamos.

Panter at this point had a serious wound in his rectum, but it would heal soon and we had predicted that it would close by reconstructing what was his sphincter and his anus, he would be a normal cat again, that relieved me, because we had already overcome the worst part together (at least that's what I thought). Panter a este punto tenía una herida grave en su recto, pero se le curaría pronto y habíamos pronosticado que cerraría reconstruyendo lo que era su esfinter y su ano, volvería a ser un gato normal, eso me aliviaba, porque la peor parte ya la habíamos superado juntos (al menos eso pensé). Debo mencionar que durante el proceso Panter siempre se mostró curioso, cariñoso y muy positivo, nunca se había decaído o puesto de bajos ánimos, pues el ha estado haciendo todo lo posible por vivir y se notan mucho sus ganas.

During his days of recovery Panter was getting progressively worse, he stopped doing his needs and his tummy was swelling, although now his wound was more closed and healed now he could not go to the bathroom because the scarring had taken with it the only hole where he released his waste, but now without any escape route, he was very bad so I had to go again to the veterinarian stylist. This time I was very dissatisfied because everything she told me did not help me at all, I even thought that if I kept taking him there, everything would end badly, very badly. So I looked for a reliable veterinarian that I could locate through Instagram.

Durante sus días de recuperación Panter progresivamente iba empeorando, dejo de hacer sus necesidades y su pancita iba hinchando, aunque ahora su herida estaba mas cerrada y cicatrizada ahora no podía ir al baño debido a que la cicatrización se había llevado consigo el único agujero por donde soltaba sus desechos, pero ahora sin ninguna vía de escape, se encontraba muy mal por lo que tuve que acudir nuevamente a la veterinaria estilista. Esta vez había quedado muy inconforme porque todo lo que me decía no me ayudaba en nada, incluso pensé que si seguía llevándolo allí terminaría todo mal, muy mal. Entonces busque de emergencia una veterinaria confiable que pude localizar por Instagram.

Once I was at the vet with Panter, he checked him quickly and finally he could find out what my kitten had... Anal atresia, a bad formation in his anus, since he was in his mother's tummy. The vet told me that I had to do an emergency edema because at that moment Panter was in very bad shape, he almost didn't eat, his tummy was very swollen and even worse, he was very depressed. The edema was something additional to the consultation, the truth is that I was surprised that it was so expensive only the consultation that cost me 25$ dollars, and the additional edema cost 21$ dollars. Without thinking so much I spent all my savings there, with hope and faith that he would get better and the worst would pass...The vet, now a real one 100%, prescribed me a diet for Panter, lots of hydration with coconut water and if it was possible to seriously think about surgery so Panter could have a better quality of life. I have spared no expense for this little guy but I have no resources left.

Una vez estando en el veterinario con Panter, lo chequeo rápidamente y por fin pudo dar con lo que tenía mi gatito...Atresia anal, una mal formación en su ano, desde que estaba en la pancita de su mamá. El veterinario me indico que debía hacerle un Edema de urgencias ya que en ese momento Panter se encontraba en muy mal estado, no comía casi, tenía su pancita muy hinchada y peor aún, estaba muy decaído. El edema era algo adicional a la consulta pues, la verdad me sorprendió que fuera tan costoso solo la consulta que me salió en 25$ dólares, y el edema adicional salió en 21$ dólares. Sin pensarlo tanto gaste todos mis ahorros allí, con esperanza y fe de que mejoraría y lo peor pasaría...El veterinario, ahora uno real al 100%, me recetó una dieta para Panter, mucha hidratación con agua de coco y si era posible pensar seriamente en una cirugía para que Panter pudiera tener una mejor calidad de vida. No he escatimado en gastos para este pequeño pero ya no me quedan recursos.

I have spent all day looking for professional veterinarians who can perform his emergency operation, but they have been referring to each other and none of them dares to perform the operation. If any of you know of a veterinarian who can help us here in Monagas, Venezuela, I will be attentive. I am also collecting money to be able to pay for the surgery or some other alternative that can help him.

Me he pasado todo el día buscando veterinarios profesionales que puedan hacerle su operación de emergencia, pero se han estado refiriendo unos a otros y ninguno se atreve a realizarle dicha operación. Si alguno de ustedes sabe sobre algún veterinario que nos pueda ayudar acá en el sector de Monagas- Venezuela, estaré atenta. De igual manera estoy recolectando para poder costearle la cirugía o alguna otra alternativa que lo pueda ayudar.

Although he does not stop eating, he eats very little. His spirits are gradually diminishing, and every day he complains more and more about his condition. I am terrified that one day I will wake up and see him not breathing again.

Me encantaría con todo mi corazón poder operar a Panter. Tiene sin defecar desde el día sábado, tras días, intenta con todas sus fuerzas ir al baño, pero no le sale nada más que unas gotas de popo liquido, ahora tiene un muy pequeño agujero que simula ser su ano que se encuentra más cerrado que antes. Aunque no deja de comer, come muy poco. Sus ánimos poco a poco van disminuyendo, y cada día se queja más de su condición. Me aterra un día despertar y ver qué no vuelva a respirar.

I never thought it would be so difficult to adopt a cat, more specifically to help it heal, I totally blame myself for not preparing for this situation, for not listening to my dear father's advice. If something happened to Panter I would totally blame myself for not being able to help him. Currently I do not know what to do, I am looking for help for his emergency operation because lately he is complaining a lot and he has not been able to go to the bathroom properly for several days, thank God small liquid waste comes out of the smallest hole that is left there, but he does not do more than that and you can see that he really wants to expel his stool, he can not do it and not satisfied with that it hurts every time he tries to do it.

Nunca pensé que sería tan difícil adoptar un gato, más específicamente ayudarlo a sanar, me culpo totalmente por no prepararme para esta situación, por no haber oído los consejos de mi querido padre. Si a Panter le sucediera algo me culparía totalmente por no haberlo podido ayudar. Actualmente no se que hacer, me encuentro buscando ayuda para su operación de emergencia pues, últimamente se está quejando mucho y ya van varios días sin poder ir al baño de forma correcta, gracias a Dios salen pequeños desechos líquidos por el mínimo hueco que le queda allí, pero más de eso no hace y se nota que tiene muchas ganas de expulsar sus heces, no puede hacerlo y no conforme con eso le duele cada vez que lo intenta.
