An ode to mother!

I want to have a sweet sleep
Even at the age of thirty I want someone to put their hand on my head and say
Everything will be fine
Just like in childhood my mother
Used to console us
Used to raise our hopes
At this age I want to have a peaceful sleep in my mother's lap
I want to hug her and cry my heart out
I know time doesn't stop
Childhood has gone back
Yet it smiles in my mirror again and again
I want to cry and giggle like a little child again
We have lived through many centuries
The pain of is the same in every century
The struggle of human of every century
Is buried within the walls of the house
Searching for peace and happiness for the house
Mother has saved some light amidst the storms and tempests
For that day when the children will come, she will meet them in the light
And will search for respect and love for herself in their eyes
That children One day we will say
This is the same light that our mother
stole from the sun,
hid it behind the clouds,
protected it from the gusts of wind
This is the light that illuminates us...
Thank you so much for reading. Have a great day 😊🙏 @vikbuddy
