Christone "Kingfish" Ingram

Every now and then, through the algorithm of Youtube, you come across musicians you don't know yet but wish you had known earlier. For me, that was Christone "Kingfish" Ingram. I came across him on Youtube and was immediately impressed by his insane guitar playing and blues voice. He is only 26 and sounds like he has already lived a whole life.

So I didn't have to think long when I read that he was coming to Nijmegen (Holland). Together with my son, brother and my brother-in-law we went to his performance yesterday and boy was that good...

The concert was in Doornroosje a small cozy hall in Nijmegen. Normally we have to drive quite far for concerts but Nijmegen is half an hour, 45 minutes drive from where we live so nice and close.

We were close to the stage and had a perfect view, unlike many artists Kingfish did not have a support act, but we did not miss that for a moment.

There were four of them, Kingfish, bassist, drummer and keyboard. At one point the keyboardist and Kingfish had a little duel, I wonder if you recognize the tunes :)

It was another great evening with my son, brother and brother-in-law. I wouldn't have missed this performance for anything.
