Let's take a pencil and paper and begin to position each element of the character, highlighting one of his most striking aesthetic features, his eyes and hair. The expression I'll give him, and his pose will be a bonus to accentuate the design.

Here you can see the basics, so to speak, of sketching a character, both male and female. Circles and lines are all there is to it. The polishing is done once the idea is sketched, and it's polished by further highlighting the lines, or in my case, when I move it to the drawing program.
