Hello my dear Hivers, I hope you are all doing well. On this lovely occasion, I want to share a little bit about the weather in Maracay during certain seasons and how unpredictable it can sometimes be 🤗

Hola mis queridos hivers espero se encuentren muy bien, en esta linda oportunidad quiero compartirles un poco de cómo es el clima de Maracay en algunas temporadas y de lo inestable que a veces puede llegar a ser 🤗

This week has been quite busy, and I had to go out to pick up a shipment in the sugarcane fields. As soon as I left work, I headed straight there to collect it. The sunset was beautiful, and I took the opportunity to take a picture.

Esta semana ha sido bastante ocupada y tuve que salir a buscar un encargo de mercancía en la zona de caña de azúcar. Apenas salí de mi trabajo, me dirigí directamente a recoger mi encargo. El atardecer estaba muy bonito y no desaproveché la oportunidad de tomarle una foto.

After six o'clock, it was time for me to go to the bus terminal to catch the van back to my neighborhood. And guess what? The sunset gradually faded and was replaced by some pretty intense rain clouds. So, I had to stay put and wait for the next van to take me to the terminal. I didn't miss the opportunity to take a picture of a tree near an intersection; its silhouette struck me as quite striking.

Ya pasadas las seis, me tocó ir al terminal para tomar la camioneta hacia mi urbanización. ¿Y qué creen? El atardecer se fue desvaneciendo poco a poco y fue reemplazado por unas nubes de lluvia bastante intensas. Entonces, me tocó quedarme en un lugar a esperar la otra camioneta para dirigirme al terminal. No desaproveché la oportunidad de tomarle una foto a un árbol que estaba cerca de un cruce, cuya silueta me parecía bastante llamativa.

The rain was already heavy here; in fact, it was raining with wind and it was very cold. However, what really caught my attention was how extremely dark the night was, and that point of light under the tree looked incredibly bright. It's like the hope one can see in difficult times, or at least that's how I perceived it. Using my camera's night mode, I decided to take the picture, even though I didn't have much hope that it would turn out well, since everything was so dark. But I did like the result.

Aquí la lluvia ya estaba fuerte; de hecho, llovía con viento y hacía mucho frío. Sin embargo, me llamó mucho la atención que la noche estaba extremadamente oscura, y ese punto de luz bajo el árbol se veía increíblemente genial. Es como la esperanza que uno puede ver en los momentos difíciles, o al menos así lo percibí yo. Con el modo nocturno de la cámara, quise tomar la foto, aunque no tenía mucha esperanza de que saliera bonita, ya que todo estaba demasiado oscuro. Pero el resultado sí me gustó.

In this photo, I switched to the camera's professional mode and wanted to focus on the details of the shadows. The result was quite somber, conveying the essence of the night with the blizzard. The tree looked beautiful under the lantern light, which not only caught my eye but is also symbolically quite significant, as it can represent how people feel in difficult times and the hope of overcoming everything. So the drizzle was definitely worth it.

En esta foto, cambié al modo profesional de la cámara y quise enfocarme en los detalles de la sombra. El resultado fue bastante lúgubre, transmitiendo la esencia de la noche con la ventisca que había. El árbol quedó muy bien bajo la luz del farol, lo cual no solo llamó mi atención, sino que simbólicamente es bastante significativo, ya que puede representar cómo se sienten las personas en momentos difíciles y la esperanza de superar todo. Así que la llovizna realmente valió la pena.

By then the rain had stopped, and I was able to reach the bus terminal and take the van to my neighborhood. Since it was very dark, I had to walk from the entrance to my street. I passed through the plaza thinking I wouldn't find anything open, but on the contrary, people were working despite the lack of electricity. Incredibly, the moon came out, so I didn't miss the opportunity to take a picture. Everything was very dark, but the moon illuminated absolutely everything, so the result was quite beautiful and it's one of the most attractive photos I have from 2025.

Ya aquí la lluvia había pasado, pude llegar al terminal y tomar la camioneta hacia mi urbanización. Como estaba muy oscuro, me tocó caminar desde la entrada hasta mi calle. Pasé por la plaza pensando que no iba a encontrar nada abierto, pero, por el contrario, la gente estaba trabajando a pesar de que no había electricidad. Increíblemente, la luna salió, así que no desaproveché la oportunidad de tomarle una foto. Todo estaba demasiado oscuro, pero la luna iluminaba absolutamente todo, así que el resultado quedó bastante bonito y es una de las fotos más atractivas que tengo de este 2025.

The last photo is definitely one of my favorites, as the moon illuminates the market stall and everything around it, along with the lanterns that operate without electricity. This definitely gives it a nostalgic, gloomy, and somewhat gothic feel, if you will. Therefore, I was absolutely fascinated by the result, especially since I'm still discovering the phone's camera features.

La última foto es definitivamente una de mis favoritas, ya que la luna ilumina el puesto de la plaza y todo a su alrededor, junto con los faroles que funcionan sin electricidad. Esto definitivamente da un aire nostálgico, lúgubre y medio gótico, si se puede decir así. Por lo tanto, el resultado me fascinó muchísimo, y más aún porque sigo descubriendo las funciones del teléfono en relación con la cámara.

Honestly, sometimes the weather can be a bit bipolar. We can have bright sunshine and, hours later, start with a heavy drizzle or a light drizzle. It's totally unpredictable, just like everything else that happens in the city day after day. Today we had lots of sun, a beautiful sunset, a heavy drizzle, and, in the end, a radiant moon. But hey, little by little you get used to these crazy weather patterns. Although they don't happen all the time, they can last for two months straight, and then the weather returns to normal. De verdad, a veces el clima puede ser un poco bipolar. Podemos tener un sol radiante y, horas después, comenzar con una llovizna fuerte o una ligera llovizna. Es totalmente impredecible, al igual que todo lo que sucede en la ciudad día a día. Hoy tuvimos mucho sol, un atardecer muy hermoso, una llovizna intensa y, al final, una luna resplandeciente. Pero bueno, poco a poco uno se acostumbra a estas locuras climáticas. Aunque no ocurren todo el tiempo, pueden durar dos meses seguidos y luego el clima vuelve a su estado normal.
