When I was younger I loved learning but the problems I had back then was that not everyone that called themselves teachers is actually one .what do I mean, there were some subjects that were so difficult for me to comprehend and today I have figured out why.
You see most of these teachers might know these subjects, but they don't know how to pass on knowledge so someone else. And most of them don't even know at all and they're teaching because they need to make ends meet.
So while i grew older I got cold feet during my exams because the subjects weren't explained well. So presently I got to understand that there's actually nothing to these subjects, once you get the scheme of work and a good textbook you're good to go, and also when you read your books and listen to you well grinded teacher you wouldn't fail.
So I made study time a habit for my children, we started orally my reciting our alphabets, numbers, days of the week, multiplication table and etc.
So we take at least 30mins to an hour to study, you know how toddlers can be. We study often because i want my children to have it as a habit and also not to be afraid when they don't understand a subject, but to open up so we'd work on it together.
And as for games I still give them educational games like counting games to help improve their counting skill, phonics games so they'll know the various sounds of the alphabet (I remember phonics helped me read properly while I was younger ), tracing games to help them with writing, and all my efforts haven't been in vein because they improve day by day.
So basically the goal is to make them love school and love reading, so they won't be afraid like I was, so they can get used to the principles of studying and so they'll always be excellent everywhere they go.
I make these sessions fun and playful, and if they don't feel like it some days, I let them do what they like right, because they're children and our future leaders, so I'd urge you pick a study time with your children daily, it'd help them grow brilliantly.##### ALL PICTURES ARE MINE
