Playnautic, obviously huge fans of the Sega Saturn, have launched Vigilant Paradise for fans of First Person Shooters and the art style of the Virtua franchise by Sega. There is a pinch of Miami Vice/Magnum P.I. thrown in for good measure as well. If you are looking for a new game for your Sega Saturn, then you may want to check out Vigilant Paradise. Unsure? Read on.

New Game, New Style

Vigilant Paradise puts you in the shoes of one of two renegade cops that have been put on forced vacation for “less than precinct acceptable tactics’ in the line of duty. Considering the city of Paradise is a busy place means they won’t be bored long as they set out for underworld justice.

Viewed from the First Person, Vigilant Paradise keeps your duty, or is it off-duty, weapon at the forefront. You must take down the baddies and clean up the streets of Paradise.

Hardware Limitations Abound

As you can see in the video embedded above, there are some hardware limitations creeping in. This is common for Sega Saturn games and fans of the console will feel right at home. Versus commercially released games, created with official Software Development Kits, Vigilant Paradise is very impressive.

Sure, it is not as detailed as some of the titles in this style that we got in the 90s, but we are talking about a different graphical genre here. They are not going for realism; they are going for that Virtua franchise look. I think they got really close to it.

Head over to the

and check out the hardware limitations and recommendations. There are a few to be aware of before dropping the $10, as of this writing, price for a copy.
