Swimming diploma

The little one just finished her swimming classes yesterday and got her diploma, which is great, as now swimming in the community pool is a lot more chill. With her classes ending yesterday I will probably start some aqua gym classes myself from next week because I've seen how chill it looks when picking up our daughter every day from swimming classes and the prices are very reasonable, while still close to home.

I'm not sure if I can keep up with my painful hands and some exersizes but I figured every week that I can keep up without having to quit during my third trimester should be a win for my health as I will stay more active.

Community pool officially opened!

Saturday morning at 11, our own community pool also opened, which is great as it's been so bloody humid the past weeks that I was more than happy to get some refreshment downstairs without having to go to the beach as we did last Sunday.

We are more than happy with our lounge chairs we scored for a great price some months ago as well as our few euros loungers for in the water. We spent 3 out of 4 hours there this morning when it opened for the first daily shift. It will now remain open until the first week of the new school season but by then I will not be swimming but be occupied with a newborn instead.. I might as well make the most out of this while I can until these months are almost over.

Burn, baby burn!

As it was very cloudy, we underestimated the sun's power on Saturday morning and discovered in the afternoon that we were burned, my boyfriend more than me, which is a rare occasion, lol. Normally it's me that has a good burn (or two) at the start of the season and then it rarely happens anymore. This time he kind of had a lobster look. I decided to not go out in the afternoon for a swim anymore that day and said I'd go on Sunday instead to let my skin cool off with some after sun.

He went for a swim once the sun wasn't on our garden anymore, which was surprising because he rarely proposes to go swimming himself. It surely doesn't help when the house has so much locked up heat inside so swimming really helps to cool off a bit.

Dirty sky

Our sky has been dirty for a week or so now, I read that there's a "blood rain" incoming which basically is the red sand stuck in the air that will rain down and make everything look like a murder scene, lol. They warned people not to wash their cars just yet but so far I haven't seen the sky clear up or muddy rains appear. I hope it soon comes out because it would be nice to have some clear skies again soon..

The nights have been horrendous and I'm glad they will deliver my new relax chair which we bought for nursing in a bit. I bet it will bring me some needed relief even before delivery as I can hardly sleep at the moment.

At least we can cool off in the pool, it's worth something!
