Biggest Health Issue

What has been my biggest health challenge?

I do fall sick occasionally like a normal human being, and I don't count those health challenges compared to this one I want to talk about in this article, which is skin scratching. Maybe I’m not describing it well or don’t know the exact medical name for it. The skin scratching I’m referring to is a situation whereby I get itches on my skin that make me scratch just to counter the itching.

This condition has been with me for a very long time, but it only shows up once in a while — say, once in four or five months. Whenever it comes, my body starts itching, and I scratch my lap, leg, and hand. Sometimes it gets so serious that scratching with my hand is not enough, and I end up using a brush (a strong hairbrush) to brush my skin.

Sometimes, the itching starts right after I bathe with a sponge. This is why I no longer bathe with a sponge up till today — because I don’t want my body to start itching me. Meanwhile, the sponge I use is always very clean, so it’s not a matter of hygiene. That’s why I’ve never believed that a dirty sponge is the cause of the itching.

Since it occurs rarely and usually lasts just a day or two before disappearing, I haven’t considered going for proper treatment. I only take quick medicine whenever it shows up. These drugs stop the itching temporarily, but after a few months, the symptoms return with the same level of reaction.https://images.ecency.com/DQmaPZPHjQL55JcytS3m9ZgvotZmCFPtZomhHi5scRkcc5G/1001801720.jpg

I’m sure there’s a final medical solution for it, and I’m sincerely planning to get medically treated or at least get advice on precautions I can take to finally do away with it.

This is my biggest health issue, even though it’s not as heavily pronounced as conditions like typhoid and malaria.

Thanks!
