4th Year birthday & 1000 Posts on Hive
92 comments
Hello Hello Hivians it's my 4th Hive Birthday or Hiversary
And I even managed to post my 1000th Post JIT!
It all smacks of Serendipity but in a very good way!
Let me explain...
Two days I posted
I digress ... on the comments of that post I received this notification from HiveBuzz
and I remembered that I had set myself a Mini challenge!
In true JIT (Just In Time) fashion I had hit my 1000 post mark and then the next minute I received...
Yep 4 Years on the Hive Blockchain and 1000 posts published.
It has been some journey. I remember once during my show that I used to run in the Ecency discord, a wise lady I was having a talk with remarked that Hive is just like real life.
That is pretty much true, the only difference is that on Hive you can't actually go to that person to sort out your differences! I am a vote with your feet type of person. If I don't like something or someone, then I am gone. I don't do negativity.
I have seen far too many people for whatever reason stop with Hive, and twice I have come very close to joining that crowd.
But I am here and hope there will be more posts and more engaging conversations to come!
I am pretty fluffing chuffed on 4 years!
So let's have a wee gander of some stats....
Figures and Stats from
By the way, I hope if you like seeing the gamification on Hive that you vote for the DHF proposal.
It is below the threshold yet we handover thousands daily to the valueplan... What about looking after the users that are here with a fun experience...
HP Ranking is 913th with a HP of 15857
So I am closing in on the top 900 with staked Hive on the platform, that came as a bit of a surprise, considering how long ago the legacy chain started.
For a comparison I noticed some of my past posts include ...
2000 HP Oct 2022
6000 HP Sept 2023
7300 HP Jan 2024
15000 HP Jul 2025
Reputation is 342nd place with a rep of 77.08
I know there is a lot of griping about the Reputation system. I do think it is a good indicator to see if someone has contributed to the ecosystem. I know in my case it is because I do write posts quite often and I get some tasty votes.
But as the old adage goes ... You gotta be in it to win it!
Posts are well down the rankings with 1001 posts and 3421th place.
As these rankings are not just for Hive but include data from the chain it forked from. There are umpteen users who were active there and made loads of posts and rewards who are not active here.
Nevertheless I am chuffed with those 1000 posts...
Comments ... I love this one ...
53296 comments puts me in 135th place!
I do need a bit of a KUTA though, when I passed 15k HP in July I was 135th in the comments ranking.
I guess this latest of Hivedrama has took its toll on me and as result I have not been engaging as I used to.
I need to change that... which brings me neatly to an outro..
A Man's a Man for a' That
As I reflect on my four years on the Hive blockchain, I can't help but think of the great Scottish poet, Robert Burns. His timeless words in
perfectly capture the spirit of what a decentralized, community-driven platform should be.One of the surprising finds of my Hive journey is finding my love again for Scots poetry!
In my mind, on Hive your value isn't measured by your social standing or how much crypto you hold. Oh fluff no, it's about the quality of your contributions, the strength of your character nut most importantly the positive impact you have on the community.
That's the entire purpose behind our #GoodVibesOnly tag. It’s a modern-day ode to Burns's poem, a commitment to focusing on the genuine uplifting essence of human connection.
Something the wonderful @riverflows said to me the other day really was a timely reminder about this...
You are such a a gem on the chain. I love reading your posts for the cheerful, positive, bright vibe, and appreciate the kind and enthusiastic manner in which you talk to people.
We can often underestimate the power of our words and just how uplifting they can be!
Thank you River!
So by actively promoting positivity, I hope to continue not just my own journey but to help build a more welcoming and encouraging space for everyone.
Here’s to many more years of good vibes and meaningful contributions on the Hive blockchain.
Did you think you would get away without reading some of Rabbie Burns ... Oh fluff no ... here is the first stanza ...
Is there for honest Poverty,
That hings his head, an’ a’ that;
The coward slave, we pass him by,
We dare be poor for a’ that!
For a’ that, and a’ that,
Our toil’s obscure, an’ a’ that,
The rank is but the guinea’s stamp,
The Man’s the gowd for a’ that.
Now then, how much of that did you understand?
A wee word of thanks
Thank you to everyone that makes my time so much fun here on Hive.
I am a firm believer that if that something is fun you will keep doing it again and again. For any newcomers here, then I urge you to make meaningful engagement, it then becomes fun and you will grow.
Let's keep rocking Hive!
