Ozark Trail 6 Person Instant Cabin Tent with Light
By: Camping Guidance
This review is about the Ozark Trail 6 Person Tent, which is one of the 10-person tents I tested. I looked at how easily I could set up and take down the tent, as well as the peak height, slope of the walls, and base area. The Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent was the second easiest to set up, with 3 roof poles and 6 wall poles. To stake and guy out the tent, there are 14 of these steel stakes. It took slightly longer to set up than the Core 10-Person Straight Wall Cabin Tent because it has 6 extra stakes for the ground vents and doors, so 20 stakes in total.
For ease of use, the only 2 tents that I could put up on my own were the Coleman Instant 10-Person Cabin Tent and the Coleman WeatherMaster 10-Person Tent. For ease of take down, the Outdoor Products 10-Person Instant Cabin Tent fit back into the carry bag really easily. The Coleman WeatherMaster 10-Person Tent took slightly longer to pack up because it was quite a tight fit to stuff everything back into the carry bag.
For spaciousness, the WeatherMaster 10-Person Tent has the highest peak height, with 80 and a half inches. The Coleman 10-Person Instant Tent has a much lower peak height than the rest, and the side walls are not as vertical as expected. The lowest height in the tent, at the four corners, is about 59 inches. The base area of all 6 tents is not a lot different, but the WeatherMaster 10-Person Tent does not have a rectangular base area.
