let’s get one thing straight outta the gate. i’m a completely middle of the road (read: happy medium) person when it comes to blockchain, i don’t take sides, i don’t care if a blockchain is better than another, that it came first, that it had bigger blocks etc. I’m just not interested in that conversation. I just want to use a blockchain for the utility and because currently the distributed ledger conversation is the one that is current.
i use many blockchains for many reasons, i’m not just interested in maintaining a maxi relationship with one group or technology — things move fast, we should use what’s fast, groundbreaking, cheaper, stronger, smarter.
for me personally, that’s speed & price and outcome, it’s one of the reasons why i like to have BSV in my blockchain tool belt.
i can put up a post here for $0.02 whip out my device, bring up hand cash and scan a qr code and pay to put a post up on the internet. sure i could put something up elsewhere for free but with this i can do it in an immutable way and keeps me working out that bsv blockchain muscle, for me usage of a chain is paramount to understanding how reliable it is.
i was gonna write a whole bit about influencers who open a literally box and that’s the review of the product or an “unboxing” but i’ve done the the past so i decided against it ;)
security and uptime are very important attributes to me also, i want to know that i don’t have to worry too much about “updating” the backend of a platform, that other people who use the platrform are invested in it as much as i am — makes for many eyes, watching the digital pot.
Sure, the front end could be taken down but the writing is stored to the BSV blockchain ledger with immutability, the decentralised frontends are just around the corner and pulling my information from the chain should be fairly straight forward and easy to do.
Having come from other blockchains that promised so much but ended up being a toxic hell hole the fact that there is no comments here or the ability to downvote a post is really refreshing as someone that just wants to creatively right without judgement. Nothing worse than having a troll with a dark black mind and dead heart using bots to pseudo faux write all over ya comments.
i’ve used a variety of blogging platforms previously, b2, wordpress, etc etc and while they are “ok” in their own way it’s a constant thing to keep on updating the codebase in case of issues and obviously paying for hosting.

even though wordpress accounts for 30% of market share when it comes to blogging and posting i think that’s severely getting eaten into with social real time platforms like tiktok, instagram and the OG twitter. The moment we start to see decentralized versions of these then i believe the transition from centralised will be rapid.
I personally don’t believe the way to onboard these users is to say we are the original, or we have this, or the original vision or any of that, they don’t really care about what went before. I think packaging up a tool to import or export them away from their existing platform, where they can pay half of what they are paying already, into a staking pool for one year to show them that we can effectively host them for free would be the way i’d go about it.
getting people to feel invested in the company (all of us together) rather than just a client that pays a bill at the end of the month. of course people need support as well, there is a lot of plugins in those ecosystems too, but i guess a lot of these things can be put together in a bounty.
i’m excited to make contacts and connections during this month however, i certainly think there is crossovers and things that i could assist with from a content creators perspective (especially regarding video and streaming) and have just been waiting on the right time to put those things in place.
I’ve got an idea/plan for launching an NFT on relayx.com one of the many cool sites that exist on the BSV blockchain — they make the MINTing process really easy and i want to launch that during these thirty days, i’m also gonna be using
to promote it, potentially alongside using (that’s more for a marketing campaign in general however, both are super awesome, fast and easy to use)i’ve been using genuine retweets as a vetted twitter user (i’ve been a twitter user since 2006 so i’ve been around a lot) and i really love the speed of everything. If i get to retweet something within a time period (mainly in their budget window) then i get paid out $0.15 for each tweet, seriously undervalued of course but from an execution point of view getting instant payment is really freaking cool.
i expect lots of people to build their own platform like this and i certainly see them being able to white label this as a service to sell to small social media companies for their clients. being able to “bag” some larger social reach accounts and paying them instantly in crypto would be quite the catch for the BSV blockchain if we are start talking people with millions of followers.
anyway, certainly gearing up for the month, in some ways i can’t believe that august is over and that september is here knocking at the door, the weather changed rapidly even thou they did say that we might get a heat wave at some point this month (bizarre, but expected in this climate of the world today)
I’m gonna be sharing my posts on twitter and using another blockchain as a backup too (because i still have a small little stake there and get payouts sometimes on my posts) if you wanna connect on there, if your taking part (i believe another 30+ people are taking part) do drop me a message so i can read your stuff.
cheers, phil!
