Inflation I will say is the bone of contention of how the economy has become in recent time which is a big threat to our income and expenditure. And I could say that 2025 was one year I will never forget in a hurry both the good and bad side of things that happened.

Looking back into 2025 I could not still believe how my family and I were ripped off some huge some of money because we fail victim to having accommodation problem due to how humans tries to subdue others around them once they see an opportunity in doing so.

Because of how the inflation is, every commodity doubled and some even tripled in price. But what is the business between inflation and buildings that has been built for many years? Some are over 10 years while others over 20 years. But the shy-luck Landlords and Landlady has capitalized on the recent inflation to be ripping tenants off.

Formally, few years back 3 bedroom flats where going for 500,000 in good and well located environments, 2 bedrooms for 250,000 thousand. In remote areas, low income earners can still make a living by paying 180,000 for 2 bedrooms and 300,000 for 3 bedrooms.

This past year , 2025, the house owners tripped the rent of every building. As we began house hunting last year June, we were totally devastated from prices of renting an apartment. The 2 bedrooms has risen to 2.5 million, 3 bedrooms to 3.5 million. It all appeared like a joke even as we continued the search for a reasonable apartment according to our budget.

And along the search, it became obvious that the house owners must have seat together or made a meeting on line on how to increase rents that becomes universal because anywhere you go, the rent are all the same. I could tell you that it was one hell of a situation that brought me down emotionally. The issue here is that we never planed nor budgeted millions for a new accommodation which we ended up paying

It was one most expensive spending my husband and I incurred in 2025. One expenses that swept us off our feet unexpectedly because we never saw it coming. It made us to abandon many other things until we get back on our feet. But I know that is what makes we humans stronger. I mean, standing up to challenges when they come. And am also very grateful 😇 to God for moving us through that phase of situation.

Honestly speaking, I will not say what I contributed in this huge expensive apartment rent is all worth it because it’s caused by how the inflation has affected the economy , humans using the avenue to cheat on others. This is not the kind of expenses I will be happy 😃 to make over time again. So am truly believing God for more opportunities that will enable one have and own a house 🏡 in the city 🌆 because that is the only solution that will end house owners rip off.
