A Quick Food Shopping Day and The Cause of Delay

Hello! Oh, wow.. It's almost weekend again! Well, it's a happy week for me because I finally did something I was so anxious to do ever since. I'm also happy to reconnect with some high school friends and classmates. It feels like nothing has changed at all despite more than a decade had passed but it's really amazing how good their lives had turned out. Goals!
Anyway, I just want to share our grocery trip last month. It was supposedly a quick shopping because my brother had to do other stuff but one item I bought caused some minutes of delay.

My brother and I would always shop separately to save time and agreed to wait for each other here before heading to the cashier which is just at the far end of the photo. He always finishes first as he has fewer items on his list.

Since I've been shopping with my brother, I was back with rushing when shopping, the reason why I tend to forget to take photos. Lol. I only remember it when I go to our meeting point.

There wasn't much people lining up at the cashier even if some counters were closed. Lucky!

My brother lined up on a different counter and thought I would also be done paying as soon as he is finished but I was wrong! The cashier got confused of how to enter the detials of the incense stick I bought into their pos system. There were lots of items listed with the same brand and their system can't recognize the item automatically. The cashier instructed her bagger to ask for the item's code at the customer service area.
The bagger went back and forth like three times and we were just there standing for about 20 minutes. I looked at my brother who was waiting for me from afar. He raised an eyebrow asking me what's wrong. Lol. As I was standing there, I doubted that the incense would bring me zen and luck but it was already giving me a not-so-lucky feeling.

After being stuck at the cashier for several minutes, we headed to the food court because brother still hadn't eaten breakfast and dinner from the other day. I was surprised. I remember asking him why but I couldn't remember what he said.
We parked our carts beside our table and told him to buy his food first so he could start eating when it's my turn to buy my food. We can't buy our foods at the same time because one must watch over the carts.

I was still actually full so I only bought a cup of my favorite avocado ice cream. It's just sad that they no longer add chunks of avocado.

And that's how our day went. The incense stick was worth the wait because the smell was so good. The cup of ice cream was also a good treat after the tiring shopping.
Happy Friday!!! ☆
